Philippines troops backed by attack helicopters battle Islamist militants in besieged southern city

-excerpt-

Army tanks packed with soldiers rolled into the mainly Muslim Marawi City as gunfire and explosions rang out after militants linked to the Islamic State group torched buildings, seized more than a dozen Catholic hostages and raised the black flag of Isil.

The army sent about 100 soldiers, including US-trained special forces, to retake buildings and streets in the area held by militants of the Maute group, which has pledged allegiance to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil).

It’s a shame Clark AFB isn’t available to lend a hand.

General "Black Jack" Pershing helped out the Philippines around the year 1910 or something like that.

His army caught fifty (50) Mooselimb prisoners and he lined them up on the firing squad. He instructed the executioners to slaughter a pig right in front of them and he instructed each soldier to soak their bullets in the pigs blood. He then put blind folds on each one of the fifty (50) prisoners. The soldiers executed forty nine (49) Mooselimb prisoners and he let one of them go back to his village so that that Mooselimb could relate the events that had just taken place.

The Phillippines had peace for about almost 90 years without any problems whatsoever with the southern Mooselimb community. Imagine that!

The time has come to do this again like General "Black Jack" Pershing did some 107 years ago!!!

Like I keep saying about our education system---It is rotten to the core in our High Schools! This is where we need to make deep spending cuts and start giving money to states that make real progress in our education system.

General Black Jack Pershing was one of the greatest generals in the history of the U.S. Military. General George Patton, General Eisenhower, General MacArther & MOH Hero General Roosevelt who led the U.S. troops unto French soil on D-Day are equivalent in my book to General John Black Jack Pershing.

A lot of people do not know this but General Roosevelt was Theodore Roosevelt's son and Theodore and his son are the only MOH Father and Son combos in the history of the MOH. You are a recipient of the MOH and it is not given to a recipient.

President Theodore Roosevelt was the best president in U.S. history in my book.

It is a great shame of the things that Genernal Black Jack Pershing did in the Phillipines to stop the Mooselimb uprising and how he stopped the uprising dead in its tracks and he is not even mentioned in the link that you sent.

That is very shameful in my book! Very shameful!!!
