Scientists Are About to Perform an Experiment to See if The Human Mind Is Bound by Physics

Perhaps one of the most intriguing and interesting phenomena in quantum physics is what Einstein referred to as a "spooky action at a distance" - also known as quantum entanglement.

This quantum effect is behind what makes quantum computers work, as quantum bits (qubits) generally rely on entanglement to process data and information. It's also the working theory behind the possibility of quantum teleportation.

The long and short of it is this: entangled particles affect one another regardless of distance, where a measurement of the state of one would instantly influence the state of the other.

However, it remains "spooky" because - despite following the laws of quantum physics - entanglement seems to reveal some deeper theory that's yet to be discovered.

A number of physicists have been working on determining this deeper theory, but so far nothing definitive has come out.

As for entanglement itself, a very famous test was developed by physicist John Bell in 1964 to determine whether particles do, in fact, influence one another in this way.

Simply put, the Bell test involves a pair of entangled particles: one is sent towards location A and the other to location B. At each of these points, a device measures the state of the particles.

The settings in the measuring devices are set at random, so that it's impossible for A to know the setting of B (and vice versa) at the time of measurement. Historically, the Bell test has supported the spooky theory.

Now, Lucien Hardy, a theoretical physicist from the Perimeter Institute in Canada, is suggesting that the measurements between A and B could be controlled by something that may potentially be separate from the material world: the human mind.

Robert Heinlein wrote a book about this. Twin boys, one on Earth and one on an interstellar spaceship, communicate instantaneously, thus ignoring the speed of light.

The Russians were heavy into instantaneous communication over long distance using telepathy.

Supposedly they had pairs of people that could communicate this way, and tested it by having one on a submarine and the other at the Institute testing the process.

It’s a quotation.

The lifeblood of Quantum Physics is government grants. Otherwise known as the something from nothing Con.

The theory is that “God” is not bound by time or distance but is in affect “above” it all looking at all events as if all of time is laid out on a scroll. In that matter “he” could see the future, the past and the now. In this manner God is outside of our time/universe but can oversee all.

I believe what you said to be true. The question is, is it quantifiable science behind His powers, or are these powers completely beyond our ability to comprehend. Apparently, the quantum physics theories are the closest things we have to making that determination, yet in many ways, they break the normal laws of physics we already believe to be true, so we remain in a state of uncertainty.

Are there any working quantum computers at this time?

No. No one will hire them because they can't make up their mind what state they are in.

I want to travel thru the universe at the speed of thought.

Just go to ASTRONOMY PICTURE OF THE DAY ARCHIVE.

“Havent they already done studies showing that groups of people’s thoughts can affect a random number generator?”

No.

“Supposedly, at least one doctor/scientist has taken a blood donation from someone, and kept it properly stored, and that same blood has experienced the same molecular changes that were taking place back in the donor’s body...”

Supposedly is right.

It’s utter baloney this claim.

“Quantum physics is a byproduct of pot usage.”

No, not at all.

But you are right in that it’s the cult that has formed around quantum physics that imparts all sorts of pseudo mystical meaning to it that is not there.

“Thinking themselves to be wise, they become as fools...”

Very appropriate verse for this day and age.

"In this manner God is outside of our time/universe but can oversee all. It’s a nice way to even begin to describe our relationship to time and space."

~~~~~~~~~~~
You just described what Alamo-Girl, Betty Boop, and I used to discuss as "God's Universal NOW".
Basically, it implies that, being unlimited by the speed of light, God can examine (and control?) the state of a galaxy a million light years away from us -- as it is at this instant in Universal time.
We, OTOH, being limited to receiving our information being propagated at the speed of light, can only perceive that galaxy as it was a million years ago.
IOW, the principle of instantaneity is essential to the concept of Divine omnipotence.
Determining whether that would be the result of a quantum effect -- or result from operating from the relativistic reference frame of another dimension -- is a challenge, indeed... '-)
Read “The Universe and Dr Einstein”. Free on line.
Basically we can’t really “know” anything. All we can do is build rules and models based on what we perceive.
so we remain in a state of uncertainty.
And there we have it.
The definition of QUANTUM PHYSICS: A State of Uncertainty.
As proof that the human mind is not limited by physics, the entire known Universe is contained in and perceived only by the mind.
There are some people who theorize that every event one is to experience in one’s lifetime exists all at once. The notion of time is but a useful delusion, shared by the masses to insure a greater sense of order. Some believe the methods of a technique called Remote Viewing can allow certain individuals to view outside of their present environment, sometimes outside of their present point in time.
Could this explain the powers of the Long Island Medium?
Does Physics apply?
Not if the math says otherwise. In the future we will not need parachutes. Just the right equations.
