Strong Enough

Did anyone realize the onslaught that a Democratic loss would bring? Did anyone predict just how juvenile and inane the Democratic base would be? Did anyone understand the petulance and nastiness Democratic officials would display? Did anyone predict how hyperbolic and crazy the leftist media would become?

It is disconcerting how many have become so unhinged over the past years. Even so, it’s not possible to have guessed just how extreme and hyperbolic the left would become. Championing “resistance” as if they were in a revolutionary cadre in a South American country was not expected. Acting like whining toddlers en masse was not anticipated. A media in total hysterical lockstep to unearth any evidence that Trump was bad, going as low as critiquing two servings of ice cream for him, was not foreseen.

Now that the #nevertrumpers are trying to resurface, trying to become relevant politically one more time, most have joined the chorus on the left. Now they champion how right they were to have pointed out just how bad Trump was going to be. One question to you #nevertrumpers": had a member of the preferred list of GOP candidates won the election against Hillary, would the left have acted any different?

Of course not! The left would have done the same exact thing, because they lost their power, and there is never anyone far enough to the left for them with an (R) behind their name to lose power to. The left has become entitled, power-hungry, hyperventilating, crazy, and boorish for many reasons, one of which has been the #nevertrump inability to understand who the left is. They aren’t in the “normal” bounds of accountability for their actions and goals. They want “resistance” against another conservative Supreme Court nominee.

Liberals hit moral and ideological bedrock LOOOOONG ago.

They had only enough sham and flim/flam remaining to power themselves up TO the last Presidential election. At that point, there was not enough substance OR hype remaining in their candidate. And the MSM was unable to power them the rest of the way ... as they had done previously for Liberal candidates.

Liberalism is culturally and intellectually exhausted.

After seeing the way Democrats reacted after Reagan won, and liberals in general reacted after Bush won, this behavior shouldn’t surprise anyone.

I will say, even though I think they cannot plumb the depths of stupidity and childishness any deeper than they already have, they do manage to surprise me every time, so I guess I fall into that category of surprised people.

I did, but I predicted a stronger counter attack from Jeff Sessions that would alleviate the “resistance” by putting their leaders in jail and Soros under wraps. Where are you, Sessions?

If there is anything that contrasts Liberalism and Conservatism more sharply, it is the actions and rhetoric in the aftermath of elections.

As conservatives, we hated that Barack Obama was elected, and had plenty of issues with it, but in general did not become unhinged the way liberals have.

And it’s not even an apples to apples compare.

There was every indicator that Obama was an active enemy of the US. That he was selected by the left to be POTUS *because* he was known to be an active enemy of the US.

Trump’s only real fault is that he’s not Hillary. Hillary is known to be a blatant criminal and at least passive enemy of the US.

Another fault attributed to Trump is that he’s not a piece of filth professional politician fully vetted as politically reliable by blackmail and gifted at saying what the idiots in the TV audience want to hear while he crawls on his knees to pleasure his DNC overlords behind closed doors.

That last bit is what the Never Trumper faction is so desperately wanting.

I find it irritating as hell when I hear people saying Trump should not hold office because he doesn’t know how to moderate his discourse or be smooth in his interactions.

I find it brilliantly acceptable that he doesn’t play the political game, even if he plays it poorly when he does.

In looking at the last eight years of a ‘consummate politician’ holding the office of the Presidency, and how much grievous damage that has caused this country, I challenge anyone with half a brain to convince me that more of that crap is desirable in any way.

“... even if he plays it poorly when he does.”

The only real indication we have that that is true is the lying lies of the liar media and the idiot talking heads of the “lets all have another honorable defeat! Yay!” “TruCon” wakademic intelekshuls who require the old status quo to be re status quo’d in order to keep their disgustingly stupid maws in the financial pig trough.

Did anyone predict...?

Yes. Many did.We all have seen this develop and the older we are the more we expected this reaction. How many on FR were surprised by any of it? Well, how many older than, say, 40, were surprised?
