The brother of slain Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich wrote a letter on Tuesday to the executive producer of Sean Hannity's Fox News show pleading with him to find "decency and kindness" in his heart and stop spreading an unproven conspiracy theory about the unsolved murder.
"As the family, we would hope to be the first people to learn about any such evidence and reasons for Seth's death," he added. "It is a travesty that you would prompt false conspiracy theories and other people's agendas rather than work with the family to learn the truth."
Rich was shot to death last July in the streets of Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate.
But for months, right-wing media outlets have floated unproven theories that Rich was the person who provided Wikileaks with thousands of internal DNC emails, and suggested his death was retribution for the supposed leak.
The theory resurfaced with a vengeance last week, in part due to a Fox News story the outlet has yet to retract. Hannity and other Fox News personalities seized on the story and have pushed the theory.
Brad Bauman, the Rich family spokesman, told CNN on Monday that Hannity had not reached out to the family. Hannity did, however, reach out over the weekend to invite Kim Dotcom, the Megaupload founder, on to his program.
Dotcom, who is currently in New Zealand fighting extradition to the U.S., where he is wanted on charges of copyright infringement and money laundering, has claimed to have evidence Rich leaked documents to Wikileaks. Dotcom has not replied to CNN's requests for comment, but said in a statement posted to his website Tuesday that he would be willing to work with authorities.

Hillary Clinton once called it the "gold standard of trade agreements" before suddenly appearing to oppose it once she realized it wasn't playing in Peoria. TPP was one of the things opposed by the Internet Party, a New Zealand political party founded by Kim Dotcom. For a while the Internet Party was affiliated with Mana Party in New Zealand. Kim dotcom was hoping to revive the Internet Party with a view to challenging the candidates in the 2017 general election.
I don't agree with much of what Bernie Sanders had to say, but I do agree with Bernie Sanders belief that TPP would have repeated all the mistake of NAFTA and would have taken over about 40% of the world's economy. I think THAT is what makes the Seth Rich murder case so relevant......so much more than a mere "conspiracy theory."

There are rumors to the effect that in addition to fake news regarding the reaction of the Rich family following Seth Rich’s murder, there are also rumors that Seth Rich’s family is being bamboozled and/or threatened into silence. Don’t forget, they have another son to worry about!!!
It’s also interesting that Brad Bauman the spokesman for the Rich family is a professional Democratic Party PR guy and strategist.
The DNC is running the entire show and appear frantic about the pace and direction things are moving. That this whole murder investigation has resurfaced so dramatically must have heads spinning in DC.

Look, it’s an open homicide case (with no statute of limitations) and no one, including the family, can stop an ongoing investigation. As evidence emerges that the investigation is faulty, the DOJ can step in and I bet Sessions will. If DJT wants to nail this Russian collision nonsense, he has to let the dogs loose.

At this point, sorry to say, it is not up to the family, because it is a matter of national security. Rich may have been killed by foreign agents.

Assange knows him, acknowledges his efforts, Rich worked for the DNC! Are you kidding me?
Now the DC police were told to stand down and to call the FBI, and the FBI has “nothing” on it. This is infuriating bullshit. His computer is gone, no video, even though there were cameras everywhere. I am sorry but there is a very good chance that this was a political assassination. (If these same scumbags can say with a straight face that Trump committed treason, then we can also say we need more facts on the Seth Rich case.)

This family’s reluctance has been reported elsewhere. Sorry I can’t source the read, but ever since the family hired lawyers affiliated with the Democrat National Committee and spurned any discussion on the subject of a non-existent police investigation, and have taken umbrage with this Kimdot.com guy, who claims knowledge of Seth’s computer, which is missing, this family has made news, beyond CNN.
Never mind that Assange himself denied the Russian “hack of Hillary”, and implied that Seth Rich supplied Wiki with the trove of emails from the Clinton campaign.
This Rich family *IS* CNN. They are all Leftists, covering up any exposure of any details that connect Seth Rich to Wikileaks and to the Hillary campaign leaks.

It looks like the conspirators failed to enlist the cops in the coverup until well after the fact.
We know this because there was no attempt to secure video footage from nearby business owners.
Also, the failure to kill Seth at the scene (which required using other conspirators to finish the job at the hospital and cover it up at that site) was unplanned.
This murder has a _lot_ of loose ends.
That is why anyone who touches this publicly (the “crazy conspiracy theory”) will face the full wrath of the MSM.
The goal is to intimidate potential witnesses who have not yet come forward.
Other note—the DC police department has very low morale and recently changed police chiefs. If this case breaks it may be because some DC police folks sneak over to the FBI to rat out their bosses.
My guess is that the Brothers Murdoch received a call from...someone....explaining how inaccurate and misguided the piece on Seth Rich was...and that journalistic integrity suggests a retraction would be in order.
The family has no power here. They don’t get to dictate how or who can investigate this crime.
