I LOVED Gran Torino...more than I expected to. I’m sitting on Trouble with the Curve waiting on a good time to watch. Clint Eastwood is a national treasure.

I watched “Creature From The Black Lagoon” a few months ago. After watching it there was a short bit of comment on the DVD.
Also an interview with Ricou Browning. One of the tidbits was that Clint Eastwood had a very short scene as an extra. Sure enough you could recognize him easily.

Grand Turino was quite good. But an 80 year old Eastwood? I'm not so sure.

To quote Eastwood’s character from his woefully under-rated movie Space Cowboys: “The clock’s ticking Bob. And I’m only getting older.”

Bo Hopkins is acting again at 75. I think the guy is a great actor and totally hilarious.

I’d love to see him do Hamlet. “To be or not to be, that is the question...” [Sound of Smith & Wesson cocking] “Oh, did you think I meant me? I meant you.”

Dirty Harry is wildly misunderstood by its critics. He’s not a vigilante or reckless antihero. He is a guy doing what must be done against a system that is growing hostile to justice.

I think his best bet would be to assemble a stellar class of senior actors and actresses, and then the hard part, putting them in an interesting movie. Such as:
Doris Day
Ann-Margret
Dick Van Dyke
Roger Moore
Kim Novak
Tippi Hedren
Christopher Plummer
Eva Marie Saint
Nanette Fabray
Martin Landau
Max Von Sydow
Gene Hackman
Robert Wagner
Joanne Woodward
Robert Duvall
James Earl Jones
etc.

His quality has not suffered as he has aged, he just keeps getting better. He is one of the few actors that has transcended his typecast and kept himself relevant his entire career. Unforgiven is one of my favorite movies.

My FAVORITE Eastwood role EVER:
