Technically it's not a coup, because the military isn't seizing power. I would describe it as a classic "color revolution". This is exactly the same play-book that Soros has used in many other countries.

Create instability, mass protests, full scale agit-prop, demand extra-Constitutional or extraordinary measures to restore peace: new elections, power-sharing agreement, impeachment, early resignation, abdication in favor of some senior statesman or coalition leader.

Here is the Wikipedia Page on Color Revolution

I think the only reason they haven’t come after us yet is that Val/jar et all didn’t have enough time to completely destroy the military. They tried real hard. Seeding it with losers, getting rid of as many of the top tier patriots as they could. But, fortunately for us Trump was elected before they had four more to finish the job.
If they had succeeded in completely destroying the military no telling what would have happened next.

It is not at all uncommon for the military to not be the driving force behind a coup, as in the one staged by Fidel Castro that was successful once Cuban Dictator Batista fled the country with several senior military leaders, and Castro's insurgents seized the spoils of victory.

True, a coup is not successful until the military either joins in with the coup-plotters or is neutralized by them. But they are often not a part of the original force behind some of the successful ones; see the Luttwak book for examples: Coup d'État: A Practical Handbook, ISBN 0-674-17547-6. London 1968; Revised Edition: Cambridge, MA, 1979; London, 1979; Sydney, 1979
