are we going to enforce a "papers please" mentality where everyone needs to carry some proof of nationality with them at all times.
God I hope so, but just for people who "have the look" and a those who have a strong foreign accent. Naturalized citizens would be proud to show their papers and go on their way. They should be able to get a hard to counterfeit photo ID (Visa-like) to prove they've already passed muster.
After all, I might speak perfect english and still be in the country illegally.
Somehow I highly doubt you're going to fake a good New Hampster or Floridian accent, coming here from some third world hell-hole.
