Would the same protocol apply to dogs?

Really? I’ll look into that, we have a tremendous tick problem here. I know 5 people in my neighborhood who got Lyme disease in my neighborhood including my mother. The little bastards even get into my basement, you constantly have to check for ticks here on your body, it sucks

How did we ever survive before without all these dire warnings. DDT?

Went through the same thing with my dog. If she already has the disease what good would a vaccine do? Fifty bucks to vaccinate a dog from a disease she already has? Yeah, I ain’t falling for that one.

Three times I tested positive for Lyme. After the third test, dr said he'll not give me any more antibiotics. I'm to come in when I'm in pain. He'll treat the side effects of Lyme. Maybe I should go see my dog's vet to get a vaccine LOL.
Meanwhile my pharmacist says not to mention Lyme when I go see the neurologist. This makes me wonder if Lyme is getting the same treatment as PMS had and I only added another number in the Lyme statistics. Curious to see how this "POW" will be ignored by the medical profession.

"Sevin does."A Lyme sufferer told me that guinea hens eat ticks. I wonder if chickens do.
I'm dust spraying food grade Diatomaceous Earth along the floor boards of my house... and my bed.

Yes, chickens will keep your yard free from ticks, but they make other deposits that are not really kid-friendly if you catch my drift.
We let our chickens run free during the day. I can't remember the last time anyone got a tick from being out in the yard or working in the garden. Outside of the area the chickens roam the ticks are bad. I mowed our horse paddocks on Sunday and pulled a tick off of Jr. on Monday.

Here is a new tick virus named after a hospital complex in St Joseph, MO - where it first showed up. It is the Heartland Tick Virus and is permanently debilitating.
A neighbor is a stay at home dad since he is one of the infected few:

A fellow at our church has developed a meat allergy because of a tick bite. if he eats beef or pork or any type of game meat he risks going into anaphylactic shock. All he can eat now is chicken and fish.

Thank you!
I really didn’t want to get guinea hens because four chickens is all I can handle. I did notice that they hangout at the groundhogs tunnel openings and was hoping that they were snacking on ticks.
My guess is I pick up ticks when I take my dog for a walk. Living out in the country is dangerous but nice :) LOL
