Returning a criminal to his native El Salvador does not make that country a US penal colony.

Another argument could be made that the status quo -- which the Left is obligated to defend -- makes it so the US acts as a political/economic safety valve, militating against any reforms that would otherwise result from pressure from an oppressed, impoverished and disenfranchised citizenry.

If your country is a basket case, fix it. Bringing your problems to my country only imports them here, while leaving your native land as it is.

Illegal immigration only benefits the elites on both sides of the border. Everyone else suffers.

With those type of criminals here, I want to flee. However, where can I go?

The El Salvadoran criminal is the product and thus the problem of his home country. You cannot continue exporting your debris to the United States as though we were Australia in it’s early days as a Penal Colony.
My vote for a penal colony would be GITMO. Fill it up!
One thing I would do is to rotate the staff every two years, so that they don’t get worn down, homesick and inattentive.

And that, he said, causes more people there, including victims of crime, to flee those countries.

LOL. So he's really looking out for us. He wants to curb immigration. LOL.

Their argument seems to be that Central America can’t help but produce criminals.

Probably true. And all the more reason to clean out their nests here and close the border permanently .

Even a criminal immigrant can get married have children and help turn this country into a Democrat stronghold. That is the real reason they want to keep anyone from being deported.

“...the ones who are working and don’t do anything,” Alvarez said.”

An accurate description of about 50% of the illegal alien employees I’ve seen.

Say, I have a possible solution for this “problem!”

Every time we deport a criminal illegal alien, book two seats on the plane (or bus). One for the criminal alien and one for the “immigration activist” who wants us to keep him. Would that work?

Criminals no one wants? Execute them. Good riddance to murderers, rapists, etc.

I’m fine with summary execution as an alternative.

RE:”Angelica Salas, executive director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, believes all deportations should be suspended until the immigration system is reformed.
“We’re deporting people without a single penny to their name into abject poverty or homelessness, many of them back to places they haven’t known,” she said. “These people are products of our society.”

They don't have a single penny to their name?
Caught committing crimes here?

What benefit do we get from them being here?

I almost agree. We should build walls around the sancuary cities and send the criminal illegals there. Then when there is no one left inside the walls we declare those areas to be national monuments to stupidity.

Why doesn’t El Salvador just immediately execute those criminals when they are returned?

This would solve the problem for everyone.

Essentially it’s not the U.S. problem that corrupt places cannot get their criminal justice system under control.

And once we actually get control of our borders and our immigration system and facial recognition employed with every passport used for “legal” entry, we can stop the return of criminals we have deported.

By NOT easing central america’s criminals problem, they might one day have a real revolution that ends it. Right now we are a crutch and an enabler - not to worry, our criminals can get into the U.S. and out of our hair.

So, how does this ‘activist’ feel about immediate execution of convicted criminal illegal aliens? They are not endangering anyone then, right?
