But if an early release serves the government, and the fear of a war with our 3rd and 4th closest neighbor is passed, (and maybe it can take something embarrassing to the government off the front pages) the government will release it!

Pft. The only “secrets” will be information about JFK’s seamy side involving girls and drugs, all of which leaked out over the years anyway.
The hold on these “secrets” was done to spare the Kennedy family embarrassment.
The true believers in The Grand Conspiracy will actually be thrilled when nothing new is revealed, because they can then add one more goofball explanation to their theory.

This “Tracking Oswald” currently airing on the History channel has been somewhat interesting, although ridiculously sensationalized like most of their stuff.
I watched the first two episodes. In the first episode, they retrace Oswald’s movements in Mexico City when he visited the Soviet embassy eight weeks before the JFK assassination. In the second episode, former CIA officer Bob Baer interviews in Moscow one of the former KGB officers who met Oswald when Oswald was in the Soviet Union. There are four more episodes to be aired.
In the following interview Baer pretty much lays out what they found in their investigation, which is that Oswald’s links to Cuba and the Soviet Union, especially Cuba, were stronger than let on publicly. LBJ must have decided that rock was better left unturned.

Oswald was initially arrested because he shot and killed Dallas police officer JD Tippit in front of about a dozen witnesses. Any idea why Oswald did that?

I'm sure that Oswald was involved, but that film makes it hard to believe that he was the ONLY one involved.
It's actually hard for me to believe that the muscles could move his head back so violently.

You are welcome 57! Read: ‘The Ultimate Sacrifice...John and Robert Kennedy, the plan for a Coup in Cuba, and the murder of JFK’. Written by Lamar Waldron and Thom Hartman, Pub. in 2005, 900 pages long. It is the most thoroughly researched JFK assassination book, (among the many of the JFK books I have in my bookcases, written from the first 1960’s stuff up to the present time), I’ve read regarding his assassination. You will not be disappointed. If the book’s reader going in is a ‘Conspiracy’ believer, reading it will only heavily reinforce that thought. If the book’s reader is a prior ‘Oswald acted alone’ believer...they won’t be after they read ‘The Ultimate Sacrifice’.

Thanx. I have been in the window next to the snipers nest and in the window right above it on the next floor or downstairs below, I forget which. They put plastic walls around the actual window. Everyone says how easy and open the target was in relationship to the school book depository. But getting off the shots AND being accurate so quickly makes the degree of difficult high.
