North Korea has claimed that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) are plotting to kill their leader with "biochemical substances".
The North Korean regime has threatened a "counter-terrorist attack" against US and South Korean forces in retaliation for the alleged attack.
According to reports, a "terrorist group" supported by the CIA crossed the border before trying to kill the dictator.
North Korea has claimed that the aim was to kill Mr Jong-un during a public event in Pyongyang.
The state-controlled KCNA news agency said: "The heinous terrorist criminal group was discovered which infiltrated the DPRK after careful preparations."

I don’t think we’d try something at a public event unless there was a handy local or out of the way third party (e.g. Indonesian) to pull the trigger.

I think this is exactly what we would do, but not the way you probably think. Think forward observes directing bombs/missiles using GPS/LD etc. We need to make sure we get him with photographic/video evidence if possible, and we are not going to be able to get too close without being detected (closed society). Need to make sure he is in the open, in well lit area and you have sufficient line of sight to remain far enough away to not be detected, and not be killed by blast or fragments. Send in a SEAL team, send target cords or lase for indirect fires (air delivered most likely) and videotape event. Team gets extracted and the world sees lil Kim dead. The chemical weapons stuff doesn’t make sense to me— it would be possible if they were trying to take him alive, but that would be completely insane from a risk perspective.
