A new video has come to light showing a ghastly incident where protesters were run over by an angry driver. It is hard to watch but it shows how desperate some people are getting. And perhaps a lesson that you should not protest on a highway.
The driver is seen slowly pulling forward when the crowd swarms the car and refuses to let him go by. Then the driver backs up and floors it.
It is unclear where the video took place. It looks like it may have been in Brazil. You are seeing these types of incidents all over the United States now and it is getting dangerous.
We pray no one was hurt and that protests like this stop immediately.
I note they didn't clear the road, and note with some sadness that no one else tried to push through...

Heh. You’re gonna have to try a lil harder than that.
Rommel’s Asparagus is more effective against attacking vehicles.
HA HA
This is horrible. Terrible. Unacceptable.
I hope his car wasn’t scratched.
I wouldn’t exactly call that “speeding”, though I will agree that protesters were run over. This will happen more often as a result of the antifa actions of late. People don’t want to get treated the way Reginald Denny did.
I have no sympathy, none, zip, nada for the as*holes who are stupid enough to plant themselves in the middle of a highway.
Should be laws allowing the driver to collect damages to the car.
I hate protesters. No one’s life is more important than my need to get where I’m going; I don’t even care if I agree with the cause, if you’re blocking traffic (or otherwise impeding law abiding people) you should get the Rachel Corrie treatment.
I hope the guys car is ok
Where’s a good lone-wolf, self-radicalized individual who’s having trouble coping with cultural differences and doesn’t represent a peaceful religion when you need one?
I would like to see a law which awards $100 to any citizen who runs over a crowd IF the crowd swarms the car.
1) It would discourage crowds from swarming cars.
2) It would block a court decision against the driver because the driver’s actions were specifically cited and rewarded by legislation.
The problem there was that the other cars didn’t follow the first car through after s/he cleared the way.
The drumming never stops.
I was just talking about this earlier. If I am on my way to a hospital, airport, or work, and people block the road...it is going to make me pretty angry.
Blocking the way is going to make me angry. Surrounding my vehicle is going to make me fearful for my personal safety.
When someone is angry and fearful for their safety, they can become unpredictable, especially if they feel trapped by being surrounded.
I have no sympathy. None. These people deserve fully to be run down if they are blocking a public way and surrounding a car.
some folks just need to be run over
Desperate? How about pissed off?
I think the speed bumps slowed him down.
The only thing you need to remember is the name Reginald Denny.
Ferguson? One can only hope...
Hetzer optional.
This is why, it’s a good thing to have AWD, 4WD, for the speed bumps in life.
I’m surprised that no one noted that the “protestors” were building fires in the middle of the roadway. Where was law enforcement???
