Sherrod Brown is pondscum, be he is right about what the MSM will say. Have any Republicans besides President Trump got the cojones to tell them to stuff it?

If the media wasn’t splashing it all over, no one would even notice.

The public “knows” this because that is the narrative the Left-stream media always pumps out in spades. Doesn’t matter WHO is actually causing the shutdown, the media ALWAYS make sure the “truth” is that it is those evil Republicans.

Well if we’re talking about the Federal government then yeah. Shut it down.

Close the whole thing and start again from scratch with the Constitution as an actual guide, rather than mere wrapping paper.

So is global warming, and the common cold.

Shut it down and pick congress from random names in the phone book.

This shows, rightfully so, the total disdain and contempt the demonrats have for the repubbies.

God, I ashamed I ever called myself one.

I would love to see this. FYI Republicans, of late, have been the determining factor in government reductions and shutdowns due to the fact it is the only way to obtain some meaningful gov’t expense reductions. So I will take the repubs leading the shutdowns. If the others would think about the country and the people instead of their pork and own pockets it would not come to those measures.

Of course everyone thinks that.

The MSM pounds that into everyone’s head day in and day out.

Is it true? No.

Now he is actually right that only Republicans are responsible for shutting down the government.

You see part of the Democratic Party core belief is that people cannot survive without Big Government. Democrats feel that if the government is ever shut down people will die and the free perks they hand out to their constituents might be stopped, which would be unthinkable.

That is why only evil Republicans are the only ones that would shut down the government.....unless of course the Republicans try to build a wall or defund Planned Parenthood, then because of the greater good. the government must be shut down until the people rise up in the street to force the evil Republicans to spend money in an appropriate way.

This is all so silly.

Trump should take the heat. Veto the CR. His base will more than stand behind him. Just sit on the veto until they come around or overturn it. Either way it’s the right move. He was elected to drain the swamp and change Washington. This is one of the first steps.

What Trump needs to do is change the paradigm of a "shutdown." Leave the parks and monuments open. Close the EPA, Department of Labor, NLRB, Department of Education, etc. Put all those union members and bureaucrats out on their keesters but give the public the bits of government we actually want.

Clinton and the Dems designed the first "shutdown" to inflict maximum pain on the public. Let's change that and inflict max pain on the government.

Well, yeah, because it’s only Republicans - and even very damn few of them - who give a rat’s ass about getting spending and debt under control.

Hopefully Trump will be Trump in September, and remind the public that it takes two sides to have a partial government "shutdown".

And hopefully Trump will point out to Ohio voters, that Brown is a liar.

And this my friends is why the democrats are so much more effective than the stupid party. It doesn’t matter what party is in power the democrats successfully pin everything on the stupid party and it sticks

Veto the CR.

Then pass a new Republican budget bill, change the rules in the Senate and pass with at least 51 votes the new bill.
