(CNN)Republicans are two votes away from another failure on their efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare. House leaders need 216 Republican "yes" votes to get the legislation through the House, since no Democrats are expected to support the bill. According to CNN's whip count, 21 House Republicans have said they will vote against the new version of the bill. Republicans can lose up to 22 votes and still pass their legislation. If 23 Republicans vote against it, then it would likely not be able to pass.

Another 18 Republicans have told CNN they are undecided. That's at least 39 lawmakers publicly opposed to or undecided on the bill. The following whip count continues to be updated as news develops.

I know is Freedom Caucus is for it... while admitting it isn’t perfect repeal.

Movement in the right direction is what we need. Yesterday.

Liberal Republicans are screwing this up.

Maybe we pick up a Democrat or two. Maybe some of the “no’s” can be persuaded to be out of town.

It’s not going to be easy in the Senate either.

I known what a socialist is.

It is each and every filthy scumbucket who graspingly tries to preserved any scrap of Obamacare be or she can because it is collapsing rapidly and without legislation that shores at least part of it up, it will all disintegrate as doctors continue to withdraw from participation.

I agree. Who are they?
The taxpayers want to know.
These politicians all belong in prison.
Voting a raise for yourself with someone else’s money is stealing.

Why do so many people, even here, suddenly believe that DC should have ANY control over healthcare insurance? What happened?

I am so disgusted at these lying Republicans who all voted for repeal when it meant nothing and will not vote for repeal now that it means something. They have a Democrat budget to send to the President, they refuse to put money in for the wall which is why Trump is President, they kiss Democrat a$$ because they are terrified of shutting down the government. Trump needs to tell Ryan and company that he will veto this budget and head to Florida. Call him when you get it right. If the government shuts down, its not on his hands. Show some backbone Trump, you are rolling over even before every fight.

That is the key question and everyone is dodging it.

As for my beliefs:

I believe that there is no situation so dire, so screwed up, that the federal government can not make worse.

History makes that clear.

Yours is the correct question. We should be voting solely on repeal, but republicans want national health care. Everything they’ve said on this issue the last 7 years has been a lie.

At this point I encourage passage, because we'll not get eventual free market healhcare (with zero, nada govt. involvement), unless the Trump agenda begins to move forward. The Senate likely will not pass it.

If the Freedom Caucus endorses, I'm good. Let's get 'em on record and put the pressure on where needed and begin House/Senate conferences.

I know some of those South Fla. Cubans,Ileana just announced shes not running again so she wont do the right thing, shes always been a lefty.Carlos is a putz who never liked Trump was a bushie and he's being crushed on the net by the hard left so I would write him off. Diaz Balart is anything but a leader. I doubt he could be counted on either.
If we are serious about saving the country it needs to start at the primaries. We need to start coming up with far better candidates. We need fearless conservative people who stand for something other than just getting reelected over and over.

Look the problem is if a conservative spends 10+ years in DC his or her view as to who their constituency is changes from the district or state from which they came to the Beltway.

Many don’t even realize its happened!

At this point we are just negotiating over the flavor of Marxism being installed.

It really doesn't matter. Those congress critters from either side of the aisle that have been bought will stay bought. Trump will have to find a more powerful cattle prod to shove up their recalcitrant a$$es.
