It makes for an illogical syllogism.
Premise A: Lesbians are sexually attracted to women only.
Premise B: Women cannot impregnate women.
Conclusion: Lesbians have higher pregnancy rates than non-lesbian women.
It’s contrary to all reason, but it's true. Lesbians have significantly higher pregnancy rates than their heterosexual peers. It’s also true for teen gay males. They are substantially more likely to impregnate their sexual partners than are heterosexual males.

I read recently about a (male) gay couple that “transformed” into gay transgendered females, still together. Yet before they weren’t into “females”.

I would assume most women have a biological urge to be a mother regardless of orientation. I would also assume most lesbian couples want to try and have a “normal” family. Not sure what that is anymore but it has to include children. So they do IVF or just do some guy to get pregnant. But you really can’t make much of this report without details. What is the method of conception. Would also be interesting to see if the stat held up if the comparison was children per biological female instead of couples. It does not appear to compare apples to apples on so many levels.

On one hand I think they should be charged with child abuse to put a baby boy in this situation but then I think they should also be charged with child abuse if they put a baby girl in this situation.

I read this article when it first appeared at “The Public Interest.” I think it makes perfect sense. They use the term “sexual-minority youth,” but what they’re really talking about is screwed-up teenagers, many of whom are probably victims of abuse. They’re more likely than other youths to smoke, abuse alcohol, use drugs, and engage in other high-risk activities. Why? Because they’re screwed-up teenagers.
These young people may describe themselves as “gay,” “lesbian,” or “queer,” but the hidden detail is that they are having sex with basically anybody, and they are not using condoms or contraceptives because they are the sort of people who act entirely on impulse.
It’s a very informative article. People should read it instead of just making stupid jokes.
It does if they really aren’t gay and have sex with females.

The fewer the number of people in a group, the easier it is to have that few do something and have it “outpace” the rate of a group with a huge number.
I can have one million people and 10 get pregnant, and the rate of pregnancy is smaller than a group of 10 where 5 do even though that million has 10 people pregnant while that smaller only has 5.
I think that was his point, accentuating the illogic.
