Deputies were called to Highlands High School early Wednesday morning after two women were attacked at the schools soccer field.
Neven Glen Butler, 18, of North Highlands, was arrested by Sacramento County homicide detectives on suspicion of murder and sexual assault in the killing on Wednesday morning of Fusako Petrus.
Butler was already in custody for allegedly assaulting another elderly woman the same day in Arden Arcade.
Petrus died early in the morning Wednesday as she walked on the track in North Highlands, as she had regularly done for decades. Both she and a 61-year-old friend were sexually assaulted and beaten by a stranger, authorities said.
After killing Petrus, the attacker fled, jumping over a fence on the perimeter of Highlands High School. A search failed to turn up any sign of him.
In the afternoon, about 12 miles away, deputies believe that Butler committed another attack . Deputies were called to the 2200 block of Northrup Avenue where investigators believe he allegedly assaulted a 92-year-old woman.

Many years ago my friend’s elderly grandmother was raped by a young negro. Nothing new, sadly. Cowardly feral humans attacking the weakest target. They should be put down without ceremony.
What kind of sex drive leads a man to assault an old woman? This is beyond my understanding of human sexuality. Kill him.
All women should be taught to shoot, and to always carry - Locked, loaded, and in the hand when alone or in the car.
