He made so many entertaining and memorable movies.

Never saw either of the two movies mentioned, and I never had a desire to, as I do not care to contribute to the degradation of our culture.

The one I remember him for is “Stop Making Sense,” the Talking Heads concert film. For all you trivia buffs, what is the connection between the aforementioned movie and the cult favorite “Dr. Strangelove?”

"Silence of the Lambs" is the movie that triggered Homosexual review committees for Hollywood produced movies and televisions scripts.
"Silence of the Lambs" is how we got homosexual promoting shows like "Will and Grace" or "Glee."
The Homosexual committee went from regulating scripts to soliciting scripts that painted homosexuals in a good light.

Listening to Stop Making Sense, still one of the finest concert movies ever, and not just because of the music. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to watch it soon.

One of the best ever concert movies, “Stop Making Sense” by the Talking Heads, was directed by JD.

I always wondered whether "Silence of the Lambs" was really the best movie that year.
It looks like it wasn't a good year for films, so it might well have been, but it did a lot to feed America's fascination with serial killers.
Anyway, maybe the best way to honor him is to do what we can to make "Santa's Souped-up Sleigh" a Christmas classic.
