Here’s the only problem with the bill Sen. Cruz introduced -— WHERE’s THE MONEY?
I believe those assets are scattered around in various countries in the region, and that most are in Mexico. But Mexico, being basically a narcocracy with a weak central government, lacks the forfeiture laws strong enough to collect them. Of course their government is demanding rights to all El Chapo assets.
It’s not as simple as it sounds.
Second....I don't see House or Congressional members jumping on this Merry Go Round.
Third....It's the President's prerogative not Ted' to make the call.
In other words, Ted is trying to stay relevant in Texas....nothing more.
