McCain Foods USA said Friday its 2-pound bags of Roundy's Frozen Southern Style Hash Browns (UPC 001115055019) and Harris Teeter Frozen Southern Style Hash Browns (UPC 007203649020) may be contaminated with "extraneous golf ball materials, that despite our stringent supply standards may have been inadvertently harvested with potatoes used to make this product."

They should just call it the “Tiger Woods Edition - Breakfast of Champions.” They could charge more money for them.

lol.
I’m too lazy to open the article to see HOW IN HELL golf balls got mixed in with potatoes :)
Makes me wonder how they make the hash browns.

I looked at a video that showed how McDonald’s makes its french fries. Bulk potatoes are machine handled. Now maybe McDonald’s machines require a minimum size potato and can’t be fooled by a golf ball. But shredded hash browns can use very small potatoes. Moral of story: examine very small potatoes manually before feeding to hash brown machine!!

Maybe a golfer will enter the dinner room and ask to play through.

I just stopped by to see what replies an article like this gets. I wasn’t wholly disappointed.

Worse is the winning guy at the PGA who swung magnificently, but the potato he hit did not fly very far before breaking into bits and being eaten by a crow.

I saw a guy eat a golf ball in a movie once; he seemed to enjoy it. Prepared right, they might not be too bad.
