As most people on Capitol Hill downplay the possibility of a government shutdown, one House Democrat said Monday that it’s a very real possibility. “I think it’s a much more realistic possibility than people recognize,” Rep. Brendan Boyle said on Fox Business. The Pennsylvania Democrat said there are “real challenges” for Republicans in getting their caucus together on the issues necessary to pass the spending bill before Friday at midnight. The White House’s request for funding towards the border wall could be a hangup for congressional members of both parties if it is in the bill.

Interesting tactic offering a health care funding for wall funding deal to the Rats. We know the Rats and the rinos are going to say Trump is “holding Americans health care hostage” to pay for his immoral wall. This is the moment though we will never get another shot at a wall to defend our border and save the nation. Not defending her borders is what ultimately brought down the Roman Empire.

David Horowitz said it best:

Republicans hold office.
Democrats hold power.

Shut it down, make it permanent, and add lawmakers to the “non-essential” part.

Who will shutting down the government really hurt? Who cares when the government is shut down? It may be a good thing.

Unlike in the past, the Democrats will OWN this shutdown. We could save a lot of money. Let it happen!

How many months should it be shut down to pay off the national debt? Do it!

“If you are going to use it the Trump administration had better have figured out the proper legislative strategy & media strategy to blitz Congress & the air waves with.

I bet they do! (Well I hope so!)”

No wall and no funding for Obamacare. Then go back to the 2006 law about funding the wall, add money to the discretionary budget and build it.

Excellent...and don’t retro - pay the fed slackers, giving them paid vacations. This is always done. Shut it down.

True! The only people thqat should be getting retro pay are those employees that fall under the "necessary" employees part of a shutdown, and still work. Anyone who goes on vacation should not get paid for it unless they want to take their pto.
