BREAKING NEWS: French Far-right Presidential Candidate Marine Le Pen Steps Down as Head of National Front in Bid to Woo Moderate Voters

o The Front National leader quit as she made it to the second round of voting
o She will face off against centrist Emmanuel Macron in the final vote on May 7
o President Hollande told voters Le Pen would ruin the economy if she is elected

French far-right presidential hopeful Marine Le Pen has announced that she is temporarily stepping down as her party's leader.

The Front National leader revealed she would be quitting her role in her party to focus on the upcoming Presidential election.

Monday's move appears to be a way for Le Pen to embrace a wide range of potential voters ahead of the May 7 runoff between herself and Emmanuel Macron, the independent centrist who came in first in Sunday's first round.

I saw a report he did on one topic about five years ago. It was the best coverage on that topic I had seen.

It spurred me to watch him more, but the very next day he was off in wing-bat territory

I realized right then than he had a screw loose.

He had potential, but he just isn’t stable.

She's stepping down as National Front leader to make it easier for those on the fence to vote for her.

Smart move. Takes away the media meme, though as you said, they'll find something else.

From the article: "Monday's move appears to be a way for Le Pen to embrace a wide range of potential voters ahead of the May 7 runoff between herself and centrist Emmanuel Macron who came in first in Sunday's first round.

I love it tha Macron is 'centrist' and Le Pen is 'far right' according to our MSM and that of Europes'.

The pussy that she is up against is a real scumbag globalist and KLINTOON ally, a big liar who will not protect France against the mooselimb invaders.

Yes, that says it all. He wanted to meet with Clinton last October and Obama basically endorsed him with a phone call before the election. Both very bad signs. It means to me he's a closet socialist/communist/globalist and Islam friendly. The communist/Islam alliance to defeat capitalism and Western Civilization. Macron probably had the usual socialist/Marxist college experience.

Macron looks the part too. A beta male Obama light pathological narcissist who's into the power. "I'll say whatever it takes to get in good graces with the globalists." He'll green light more Muslim immigration. See his tweets above. "Hey Barry and Angela, am I doing good?"

Any research in how much Soros in involved with him?

He must be stopped. The fate of France and indeed, all of Europe is at stake.

Will all this set the stage for another Normandy landing some time down the road?

Le Pen wants to:

1. Lower retirement age
2. Increase public aid to elderly
3. Cut price of gas and electricity by 5% (Subsidy?)
4. Maintain 35-hour work week.
5. Increase welfare payments

6. Raise taxes on trade
7. Preserve state-owned industries
8. Oppose American-led foreign policy
9. Open healthcare centers in small towns
10. Launch a university for the "arts and crafts"
Le Pen sure has a lot of ideas on how to tax and spend. But you keep on thinking she's a right winger.

“Far Right”. Is there some kind of subliminal message they are trying to covertly extend?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Subliminal message? In the eyes of left-wing ideologues everywhere, anyone who is not a dedicated Marxist is, ipso facto, “far right”!

Well she is the far, far, far...did I say far?... right.

First impression: We need France, Sweden and Germany as examples of what not NOT to be now in perpetuity.

Second impression: I’ve been doing research for my own edification on South Korean sentiment and surprisingly (or not so surprisingly actually) the women on the street sounds (captioned) just like a CNN/MSNBC adherent.

It’s most likely the popular culture that has ensnared them.

If you look at what they are watching these days, it’s not hard to understand what they are buying into.

Look at the trash they are being fed from our nation, the broad MSM conglomerates.

Le Pe is “far right” only in France. Economically she is a welfare state socialist. Culturally she is Conservative and wants the Saracens out of France once more. Charles Martel kicked them out once. She thinks it needs to happen again.

Could this be another example of all the great French leaders being foreigners or women?

Except for one thing.

In my post (I believe it was 25), it states she only stepped down temporarily.

Does she get the position back once elected?

See, that is a strange way to address it.

“President Hollande told voters Le Pen would ruin the economy if she is elected”

Current French economic indicators

1. GDP .4%
2. GOV. debt to GDP ratio, 96%
3. Unemployment 10%

You can’t make this stuff up, well other than Hollande.

>>How does socialist Le Pen get called “Far Right”?

In European politics, socialism is assumed for both sides. Left simply means Transnationalist (Globalist, etc) while Right means Nationalist.

The total exposure of the UniParty in US politics has made it clear that US politics now follows the same model as Europe.

FReepers should not get their hopes up, a la Trump. This is not “historic.” Le Pen’s father reached the same point in 2002, coming in 2nd to Chirac and ahead of expected 2nd-place finisher Lionel Jospin. All other parties then rallied behind Chirac — even though most couldn’t stand him — and Chirac won the biggest landslide in French history, 82% -17%. I put the odds of a Marie Le Pen election at around 5-10%, and have been saying this on FR for months.
