Eyewitness in Caracas, from Venezuela's Mother of all Marches

Venezuela's gargantuan marches against the failed socialist tyranny of Nicolas Maduro have gone on low-boil now, but it's worth looking at a good eyewitness report to see how the Mother of all Marches went on the ground. Blogger Daniel in Venezuela has an excellent account, complete with photos and YouTube videos he shot himself, showing and describing the experience up close and personal.

It all started fairly normal. walking down El Cafetal and Chuao until arriving at the Caracas small airport, La Carlota. Still, things felt different, quite a stream of people even though already a lot of people had been going that way.  Also my group was a tad late for the official opening of our scheduled starting point (24 total in Caracas). We were in the tail end. Warm day.

Our trail merged with the one coming from Petare and Altamira, on the central highway at La Carlota. Words failed me when I saw the huge crowds and the huge flow.

Unfortunately, a march by itself isn’t going to overthrow this entrenched thug and his roving gangs of Revolutionary Guards. And a lot of the people marching were just fine with Socialism when it was taking away other peoples’ money and handing it out to them. The reason Socialism works is because everyone, to one degree or another, has a weakness for greed. Getting something for “free” from someone else. By the time you get where they are in Venezuela where people are literally starving, and dying because there is no basic medicine, the thugs are in charge. Venezuela is almost North Korea. The thugs will kill off these protestors and the survivors will be too scared to protest again.

When WTI was at $150, Venezuela was ALMOST able to afford their Bolivarian revolution. At 50, which is in the 20s for the foul slop that Venezuela produces, not a chance.

They are eating cats on the corners of Caracas.

Every professor in the US should be required to take a one year sabbatical in Venezuela.

We find out that Castro, the great Marxist, had his own pleasure island.

The dummy in the socialist paradise of North Korea has his own pleasure island.

The leaders in socialist Venezuela are eating lobster and drinking champagne.

Anybody who advocates for socialism is an imposter. They should be immediately hung to preclude the misery they always bring.

MSNBC told me Venezuelans were matching in protest of the donation Citgo made to the Trump inaugural committee.

Vietnam — 1 million
North Korea — 2 million
Cambodia — 2 million
Eastern Europe — 1 million

Any idiot who advocates for socialism here in America, needs to take a trip to Venezuela.
