Guardian commenters are already saying the Russians will steal it for Le Pen.

Good things come in threes:

I just listened to Macron’s “victory” speech. Nothing but platitudes, no substance at all. Even the talking heads on the BBC say they don’t know what he stands for.

Someone might want to let the French media know since they still show Lepen in second place.

Trump and LePen would not have been possible had it not been for Brexit.

Brexit opened the Pandora’s Box.

Lotta unknowns here. Certainly “conventional wisdom” is not worth much.

Though I haven’t followed the other 3 candidates closely, I am under the impression La Pen is the only serious “France first” one who wants to stop the Muslim takeover.

If that’s the case, it seems that the voters for the losing 2 candidates will be more likely to break for Macron in the run off.

I don’t see the point of starting to wave the white flag now. Maybe you are rooting for the other guy or you are just a garden variety coward. This is far from over.

It wasn’t just the pre-election polling.

The EXIT polls had her two points behind Macron.

She’s going to lose in the second round. Most of the other candidates have come out against her and 24% won’t translate to much more than 40% in the second round. France will shortly choose the path of submission to Islam.

That’s what people predicted about a Trump win...and the US stock market is doing just fine.

If the voters in France vote for the “Obama” endorsed scum and vermin,...they will get exactly what they deserve, which is nothing, but...more terrorist slaughter, no economic growth and tons of Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood terror!!! Fools...can’t see the forest for the trees....SAD!!!

The election projections are being reported over the actual results.

Nigel Farage said this on Twitter.

“If you’re following the French Election, don’t watch @Sky News. They’re giving projections not results.”

Hilarious! I live in NYC (and used to live in Los Angeles). I, too, kept my mouth shut about Trump last fall. The morning after Election Day, I was walking to the subway, leaned into a pit of construction workers, and whispered, “Trump”. They all looked up and started chanting, “Trump! Trump! Trump!”

” Even the talking heads on the BBC say they don’t know what he stands for.”

Le Pen will say, loudly, that he stands for the status quo. And he does.

He is Pro-EU and immigration.

No wonder the Russians can’t fix their problems at home. They’re too busy trying to steal elections worldwide. LOL Seriously, this is pathetic. The Russians are becoming the scapegoats for globalist failures at the ballot box worldwide.

“I don’t see the point of starting to wave the white flag noNew.”

Agree 100%. So sick of the reflexively negative types who seem to want more than anything to say eventually, “I told you so!”

When Donald Trump first floated the idea of running for President, NOBODY credible thought he had a prayer — nobody of any political stripe. So, I couldn't care less what the “Le Pen-definitely-will-lose" folks say.

She’ll make a case that those parties are the uniparty of France. Let’s not be doom and gloom quite yet.

Just being realistic. European elites work very hard to keep actual reform from entering their system and France is chocked to the gills with Muslims immigrants who can vote.
