Your pond is beautiful!!
Hubby said ours is about 1800 - 2000 gallons. The water runs through a UV light that keeps it clear and algae free. We have a small gristmill (water wheel) that water flows to and down the stream to the falls..to the pond.

Morning, OBS.
A little info about Obummer’s SF judge.
“This should come as no surprise as Orrick had an implicit conflict with Trumps efforts. It was Orrick, at Obamas Department of Justice, who supervised the office of immigration litigation, and fought state-level immigration enforcement efforts in Arizona and Alabama and elsewhere. In other words, the same judge who said Trump cannot dispute a local governments immigration actions filed suit to stop Arizona and Alabama from enforcing their own local immigration actions. Welcome to results-oriented legal jurisprudence of Obama judicial appointee liberalism where legal precepts, logical consistency and historical precedent have no role, just as the life of foreign criminals now enjoy more legal protection than the citizens safety of the Kate Steinles of America.”

This exquisitely landscaped masterpiece is not what I think of when I hear the word “pond” !!!!
Absolutely beautiful in every way ... it must be so peaceful to sit outside amidst the flowers, listening to the trickling water.
Thanks for sharing it with us, Spunky!

It is absolutely gorgeous spunky. And the Lillypad’s, the bushes you planted, all is just perfect. I want to sit at that table with a cup of cocoa. (It’s a little chilly out this morning here)
Can you hire someone to come take care of it for you? It would be a shame for you not to have it.

Morning, LG.
I don’t see how we will ever solve this problem with activist judges until there is some method of holding them accountable and consequating them for their actions.
As long as they can make prejudicial and obstructionist rulings with impunity, they have no incentive to change their behavior.

[I just can’t keep up with getting rid of the algae and the sludge.]
Years of algae and sludge finally turned our 450 gallon aquarium into a ‘ghetto tank.’ We gave the fish and the tank back to the store. The fish were HUGE!

why doesnt Trump have someone on his side sue and pick a friendly judge. Beat the libs to the punch. There was a thread on here that indicated he wants to dismantle/restructure the 9th circus.

Good morning deplorable train travelers.
Good news for us all - AND ESPECIALLY ME ---
Starting in May Ray of Hope and Pax_et_Bonum each pick up one more day to ping the list each morning. Ray will be doing Thursday and Saturday and Pax will be doing Wed and Saturday.
THANK YOU BOTH FOR HELPING and for giving a fresh new look / addition to our threads
I have one more day house and pet sitting ... then leave here late Friday morning to get to my wine sampling job in my area.
Thank you for all your news, links, pond, plant sharing. It is informative and some of it fun(not about creepy judge and low life senators)
Rains coming shortly and will go the 20 miles into town during that time perhaps. Yes, this is the boonies..
Glad to be able to use - with their permission/password - the neighbors wifi so I can keep a bit up. Most of you know cell phones are more than challenging for connecting.
I slept in this about 8.. and my last dream was with Rush Limbaugh as an integral part of it..
My real life can be pretty mundane - busy but mundane - but my dreams are usually fun and exciting.
Read the book(Flagg) Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe yesterday. I had seen the movie numerous times but not read the book til then. In prep for my Fried Green Tomatoes Party in early June.
Picked up a set of 1800 Egyptian Sheets at a steel last week at a local Amish Bent/nick store. I have heard how wonderful they are but have never used them. Al You wouldn't believe this place. In the middle of absolutely NOWHERE.. of course only open during daylight hours and then it is pretty dark in there. My friends took me there last year and I stop usually once per trip to check around. all sorts of items/food/farm products/homeproducts... Had a series of Gucci purses last time I was there! These sheets on line (and on package are 189.99. I got them for 15.00

that is gorgeous setting.. what a great sanctuary area for reading/chilling out. Anyone who does gardening/horticulture understands the work involved. Our ambitions and ability when we are 35 is quite different as the decades pack on

mortgage interest & charitable contributions would be the only remaining deductions. I never figured out why that was a desirable benefit, sounds like a giveaway to the lending lobbyists/mortgage industry. Why wouldn't it be better for you to write off the principle?
(because you'd tend to pay it off sooner and save money?)

We have a one acre pond and its wild... we have seen it through years of draught and flood. At one time it was covered with lotus leaves and although at first we thought that they were wonderful we came to realize that they were one giant soul sucking organism. Mr. Mercat got a small kayak and some eco friendly plant killer and slowly got rid of most of it. We leave a few. They do help keep the pond clean. We have a lot of turtles. The snappers thankfully are rare and they migrate. The muskrats were driven off by used cat litter in their holes. We had some really nasty long algae while the pond was dealing with the dead lotus leaves but it has cleared out. So if 3 koi aren’t keeping things happy, get rid of them and try some other fish that loves to eat algae. Grass carp might work.

Dismantling the 9th will take a long time whereas just getting a lawsuit against himself is a lot easier, cheaper, quicker and a whole lot less fuss. Plus, winning would shut up a bunch of whiners.
