President Trump said Friday that undocumented immigrants who were brought illegally to the U.S. as children should "rest easy" and not fear deportation under his administration's efforts to ramp up immigration enforcement.
The president told The Associated Press in an interview that his calls to crack down on illegal immigration are focused primarily on removing criminals from the U.S. and are not geared toward the so-called Dreamers.
Trump's comments came on the heels of a lawsuit filed Tuesday alleging that a recipient of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which allows undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children to remain in the country, was deported to Mexico.
The Department of Homeland Security said that the individual, 23-year-old Juan Manuel Montes, had originally left the country on his own. Montes said he was forced out.
Trump said that the case is "a little different than the Dreamer case," though he did not specify what he meant by that or how it was different.

If this is the first Dreamer to claim he was deported for no reason(than being a Dreamer) then libs look pretty silly with their accusations, especially if this one is shown to be lying.
The dreamer in question was caught trying to get into country by climbing a fence and got busted. That is why this precious dem voter.....***cough, cough*** got in trouble.

No! Amnesty is Amnesty. Trump repeatedly made day one promise to revoke Obama’s executive orders and actions giving amnesty. He did not. That is a broken promise, now confirmed. That’s nearly a million people and growing every day that gets amnesty from President Trump. These are people taking seats in schools that could go to American citizens, nearly a million people and growing get preferred tuition rates that out-of-state residents do not get in our schools, and nearly a million people and growing that are taking jobs that could otherwise go to American citizens. That is amnesty. A broken promise. Shame on President Trump.
Why should they rest easy?
Just because their illegal alien parents decided to suck money out of the American taxpayer for their kids benefit and not ours doesn’t make them victims. It just makes them the children of parasites.
Most of them got a free $7000/yr education along with free meals at the schools and free medical care in the ER of their choice (been there/seen that).
They shouldn’t have any qualms about moving home. Had they made the best of the freeS**t they got, they would be far ahead of their competition back home Mexico or Central America or China or whatever Third World Thugocracy they came from.

I’ve differed here in that I don’t have a problem with letting the DACA people stay because it’s a small portion of who is here illegally, and they can’t help that their parents brought them here. That said, why is Trump still accepting applications for this program? Why not cap it immediately upon getting in office?
His claim is that INS dumped him across the border against his will, that he didnt leave on his own.
INS apparently says that he was traveling back and forth without permission (against DACA rules) and got caught (or stopped) coming in, negating his DACA pass to be here.
I haven't seen an official statement on this by the US.
It is said to be upwards to a million of what they claim (for 15+ years) to be 11-12 million illegal aliens. Well, others put that latter number at 30-60 million, which means that Obama’s, and now Trump’s ongoing DACA AMNESTY could apply to tens of millions of people. And what about their families? As I said, shame on President Trump for selling out on a key campaign promise.
Makes them easier to round up, I suppose...
My big problem is that they don’t have to provide solid evidence that they have been brought up here. I have read that some unaccompanied minors that recently were invited here by Obama claimed DACA status.

The supreme court’s going to overrule it in a couple of months. Again Trump’s position on DACA appears to be pure politics. Start going against and the media has a very good campaign lined up to destroy all our efforts against illegal immigration.
Trump also promised that there would be a way for the “good ones” to stay in the country and gain some residence rights. (Not voting, not welfare, Etc) I do not think this is a complete broken promise, we simply heard different things.
Trump has always said that things depend on he wall and the various programs to stop the current flow, and that is underway but not finished. The left wants to have the promised revision of the illegal’s status right now before the wall gets built, mainly because they want their cake and then they want to defeat the wall (again).
We can see the Trump endgame here, he does not want to deport good workers who are following our laws and not being a problem for our communities. But the wall and the border must be solved too. I would not change my support for Trump too much over this. Let is play out.
I think it’s ridiculous that he doesn’t revoke Obama’s Executive Order. I’m not saying that they all should be deported, but he should get rid of the EO.
He STILL hasn’t ended DACA. There’s no excuse for that.
Those Trump stickers come off my car just as fast as they went on. If he keeps this crap up they’ll be replaced with anti-Trump stickers.
