Florida High School Students Forced to Remove Cross Jewelry and Participate in LGBT Activities

Students in a math class at Riverview High School in Florida are being persecuted for their faith. They are punished for not removing their cross jewelry. They are harassed for not embracing the LGBT agenda pushed on them by their lesbian teacher. But one ninth-grade student is pushing back. Her attorneys filed a demand letter requiring the teacher to cease and desist by close of business Thursday.Cross.jpg - 500

Parents told Liberty Counsel that at least three students were not allowed to wear their cross necklaces. Math teacher Lora Jane Riedas claimed they were “gang symbols.” When one student asked why, Riedas told her she was disrespectful and she must take her necklace off. The necklace held a crucifix less than an inch long. The student felt she was forced to deny her faith.

Riedas is a member of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network’s Leadership Institute. She engages in blatant LGBT political activism in her classroom. Her classroom is decorated with LGBT insignia and rainbows. She decorated students’ notebooks in rainbow stickers without their permission. She singled out one student for several false “misbehavior” claims after the student removed the sticker from her notebook.

Riedas has plans to promote GLSEN’s “Day of Silence” Friday. GLSEN’s guide requires students to take part in political activism. Liberty Counsel stated that students can either “’go along to get along’ or risk being ‘outed’ as disagreeing with the teacher.” Students are encouraged to support the LGBT agenda and Day of Silence by not speaking. Those who speak will be required to answer class questions.

There is no such thing as a religion-free education.

Secular humanism is religious. Atheism is a kind of religious worldview. The founder of modern Satanism mentioned that in reality, what he practiced was a kind of secular humanism. And people in this forum think that this is OK??

“...it’s a shame that the Founders did not explicitly state that we are a Judeo-Christian nation.” >>

Who needed it explicitly stated. As if they should have added the sun rises and sets to the Constitution.

These Founders had no idea there would come Constitutional Pharisees, incapable of grasping the obvious if it appeared anywhere outside the Articles.

Using the Constitution to question Christianity and to beat Christians over the head, I assure you, was not what the Founders ever had in mind. Expand your reason a tad, into the faith and visa versa... the faith into your reason.

So you endorse judgement of a simple finger sign as a total abdication of God and the Christian faith? Oh, my. Is it possible that judging others caught in righteous anger is a greater fault than the simple finger sign ever hoped to be.

At worst, NFHale can try not to let the sun go down with actual wrath.

Judgmental blabberings against others who are indignant against abominations are worse, especially if you’re constantly defined by them.

So you endorse saying FU and giving the finger to people?

“...The Cross is about being profane and worldly, like this teacher and the liberal leftists?...”

Nope.

My comment is about NOT backing down to liberal leftists.

In ANY capacity. Ever.

“...NO WAY they were going to bow down ...”

We shouldn’t either.

Our ancestors sure as Hell didn’t. And I won’t either.

“...how to deal with their persecution...”

There’s always ways to deal with bullies.

Some soft ways. Some hard ways.

Just depends on what level of “dealing” you choose to enact.

Like I said. It’s a choice. There’s consequences, but it’s still a choice.

“..students are understandably intimidated...”

Some are, for sure.

I was raised by a WWII Airborne father and Pacific Marine uncles. I wasn’t taught to ever be intimidated.

You weren’t either :^).

So that’s why it’s up to people like us to become coaches, educaters, etc., to teach youngsters how to stand up for themselves. I coached youth baseball for many years. Now, I teach firearm handling, safety, and marksmanship as a side job.

Because they sure as Hell aren’t going to learn THAT in school.

Can’t save them all... but I sure as Hell can save a couple of them.

Not only will parents not do that, but most never vote in school board elections, which are usually won by die-hard liberal establishment types even in conservative districts.

Live dykes should be forbidden to conduct classes at a public school

“...So you endorse profanity and “the finger”?...”

I do. It’s necessary at times. There’s definitely some who deserve it.

If you don’t, well, that’s your right to exercise.

I’ll exercise my right as well. And I won’t pretend to be the best Christian on the planet.

I live in this world, on a daily basis, and I will deal with those around me who act with aggression - macro, micro, or whatever - towards me, mine, and what I hold dear in whatever way I see fit and they deserve.

So, as for this dyke “teacher” - the middle finger and a hearty “GFYourself” is exactly what she deserves.

She started it. The kid didn’t. You reap what you sow.

I got LOTS of wrath, Rita... Haha!

The last eight years’ worth equalled a lifetime, for sure.

Also a lot of patience too.

But I’m a strict interpreter of the Constitution. So I must reluctantly say that such a prayer would be unconstitutional...

I take it you're specifically referring to the separation of church and state clause?
