How MS-13, One of America’s Most Dangerous Gangs, is Funded
FOX Business ^ | April 19, 2017

Posted on 04/21/2017 8:04:32 AM PDT by george76

MS-13, a group that was started by Central American immigrants in Los Angeles in the 1980s, is known for its ruthless and violent tactics. Most of the founding members were from El Salvador and fled to the U.S. during the country’s civil war that lasted 12 years, from 1980-92. Since then the gang’s membership has ballooned to at least 10,000 members in the United States and more than 30,000 worldwide, according to the FBI and Treasury Department.

“[MS-13] is one of the most dangerous and rapidly expanding criminal gangs in the world today,” Philip Holloway, a legal analyst and former police officer, told FOX Business. “MS-13’s mottos is ‘Mata, roba, viola, controla’ (Kill, steal, rape, control),”

...

“They are involved in multiple crimes including murder, racketeering, drug trafficking, sex trafficking and human trafficking including prostitution,” Holloway said.

MS-13 also uses violence as a means for extortion, which constitutes much of its income

...

MS is a clear example [of illegal immigrant crime]. Affiliates would cross the border and make their way to American enclaves where they found friends and relatives living here already,” he said. “Citizenship is a combination of American born (many to illegals) and illegal immigrants

...

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said he believes the gang “could qualify” as a terrorist group. In El Salvador, MS-13 has already been designated as a terrorist organization.

They conveniently self-identify with tattoos.
Declare open season and they would be reduced overnight.

They’ll never go away. FBI, DEA, CIA etc need a mission. No crime no mission. The corrupt government agencies also need dark money so they take their protection cut (like a 20 year sting operation). Big bankers also involved to launder the money.

Coincidentally, I just watched George Webb’s first video report of today - live from Burger King - where he describes how MS-13 was brought to the US west coast by ISI (Pakistani intelligence) in the 80s, and has been part of Hillary’s web of drug-smuggling and the espionage ring exposed by the Awan Brothers.

MS-13 is just the visible part of the operation, going after them is just going after the pawns. The real value would come from going after the “managers” behind the scenes who are not visible to the public. His previous videos have exposed various elements of the operation and connected the dots between them. It’s a useful analogy.

I understand what you are saying.
If they really wanted them gone all it would take is a dead or alive bounty.

I was honestly hoping that President Trump will be the anti-drug President. If there is such a thing as the “War on Drugs”, it needs to happen now.

Heroin and Chrystal Meth are too easy to find and cheap to buy. My wife is a nurse in an Emergency Room and sees those addicted to this crap on a regular basis. These drugs are of the devil.

Sadly, I believe you are right. These crime-fighting agencies need a “cause”. They’ll allow these gangs to proliferate despite the tough talk because they want to keep their budgets in place.

Perhaps you will take time to watch the video I referenced above, and others. I agree with you and understand how discouraging it must be for those who see the damage done by drugs every day. But understand as George’s analogy says that if they wiped out every MS13, La Raza, etc gangbanger in your city overnight the ER would just be seeing different faces in a few weeks and months.

The front-office part of the drug industry is replaceable. There’s always kids who are willing to do the retail drug work and as long as that continues there will be users who become victims.

The only real strategy is to get to the “managers”, break up the back-office and the factories. That won’t be a long-term fix unless there is a diligent effort to keep it from reforming because as long as there is a demand there will be someone trying to supply it. Trump can’t do it all, but with properly aimed strategic moves I think he could disrupt it sufficiently to make an impact. Just having a southern border wall and security would pose a major impediment to the ability to meet the demand. Getting to the rat-lines that move the stuff out of normal channels would be huge, because those things take a lot of resources to set up and maintain. It is very literally a war, but one that can’t be won with one massive attack, no matter who’s in charge.

“They’ll never go away. FBI, DEA, CIA etc need a mission. No crime no mission. “

And there is no point in accepting cartel cash to import megatons of drugs if there is no distribution system to market them.

They conveniently self-identify with tattoos.

Those were the old school members and the ones still in El Salvador. They now try to blend in.

I am surprised that Fox did not find George Soros’ hand in the MS-13 funding. I am told that he has his hand in the drugs trafficked into the United States.

I believe you’re right. We’ve gone after the BIG FISH before and it has paid off. Why hasn’t law enforcement gone after these gangs the same way they did organized crime? I don’t want to believe the answer is they need their jobs/work to continue! We’re already skeptical and jaded enough; we don’t need to become more so.
