I’ve been called a fool twice in this thread, and it’s still young. This is to be expected. Cruz was called worse at the RNC when he took a principled stand.

“Cruz will win this one by six-eight points, but Texas with its population growth among Hispanics and the urban areas of Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin, are trending Democrat.”

Sounds just like Colllyfornia just before we ousted Gray David and crowned Ahnnold the Awful as his replacement. Conservative Texans better wake up. We thought after Ronald Reagan things were hunky dory. If Texas goes RAT, it’s over for America. Just Saying.

Good news. Hopefully he gracefully steps aside and let’s a non-lying Texas Republican run next year.

The local San Antonio paper has failed to cover Joaquin’s spying employees, aka the Awan brothers.

Hey, why not investigate them for Espionage, instead of targeting Assange & Wikileaks?

The deportation crackdown should help move the demographics back our way, or at least slow the cancer. And the wall should reinforce it for the foreseeable future.

The progressive dark side wants to take our way of life, our culture, our fine Country.

Trying to settle a score with Ted helps the dark side, and hurts us.

Sometimes, not always, conservatives can take a long view.

If I were a Texan, I would get up early on election day in 2018 to be first in line to vote for the man. I would send him money (and I still might).

Which is why Cruz should get primaried first or back out now and let the Republicans put up someone, an American not Canadian, that can win. My money will help anyone running against him and there are already Republican(s) announced.

Texas is urban with Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Austin being among the 11 largest cities in the country. Some of that growth is Hispanic, not from immigration, but by birth and a great deal of that growth is from California and the northeast.

Those are demographic trends that cannot be altered and in the end will push Texas leftward. However, nationally, the Trump and the Republicans can and are forcing a voter shift in Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

With that, the Republicans do not need Texas.

Giving in and forgiving Cruz, ignoring his lies, is much worse. No, we just need to get rid of him as he will just repeat his past and shame on anyone allowing that.

Cruz was called worse at the RNC when he took a principled stand.

Principled stand my ass.

That was a stand of personal pique, nothing more, nothing less. Most of his prior supporters thought the same (that includes me).

I have noticed he became sane during the last couple of weeks of the election, stumping for Trump in the Midwest, and he's been fairly good ever since.

Beck dumped him when Cruz sold his mailing list without permission. Once Cruz confirmed it, Beck never mentioned him again on his show.

It would be justice if Cruz lost his seat—under the assumption that he intentionally tried to sabotage the Presidential election because of sour grapes, at least.

But I’m hesitant to vote in someone far worse for 6 years JUST to get rid of him.

Silly poll. “Undecided” is strongly in the lead. The Texas Dems (libs) do this kind of polling every election cycle.

Remember the threats posed by Senators Alameel, Sadler, Radnofsky and Noriega? Neither do I.

The Texas Democratic Party has not won a statewide election since 1994.
