Youre missing the big point. What was revealed was the massive illegal activities of the US intel community in spying ON the American people.
Nobody nominated Assange and/or Wikileaks to be judge and juror when it comes to trying to "fix" the "illegal activities" in the intel community.
You should never attempt to fix a crime by committing another crime, though some would equate that with "righteousness" and "heroics".
