Eleven candidates, reflecting all the competing flavors of the Republican ice cream store. I suspect this will lead to a win for the Democrat in June. Does anyone know what kind of place Fulton County is? Urban, suburban, or rural?
Which Republican flavor is the woman winner?
P.P. lives in Atlanta, he should know.
Are you kidding me? I've known Fulton County/Atlanta was heavily urban since I was 11 years old and watching the Cubs on WGN or TBS play the Braves in Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium.
This is North Fulton County and that's a big difference from "fulton county"
This was Newt's area, cities include, Sandy Springs, Johns Creek and Dunwoody and also east Cobb County. The cities are well off, some of the wealthiest in Georgia. The problem I see is the areas are sprinkled with Democrats the cities are growing and younger Democrats are moving in. If they show up and the Republican voters stay home then we have a problem.
Fulton county is urban black in the south - suburban white in the north. Handel is a solid RINO GOPe
Handel will win
Research the area
Yankee immigration and rich blacks have hurt but it’s still a GOP district
2012: Cobb 70-30; DeKalb 54-46; Fulton 66-34.
2014: Cobb 71-29; DeKalb 56-44; Fulton 67-33.
2016: Cobb 67-33; DeKalb 52-48; Fulton 62-38.
Atlanta is the seat of Fulton County. Just from the numbers I’m sure it’s mostly suburbs not city.
Apart from the number, it’s not the same as Gingrich’s old district...as I recall that one was the western suburbs of Atlanta, not the northern suburbs.
