The FBI used the bombshell Trump-Russia dossier to get permission to surveil a former Trump adviser
Business Insider ^ | April 18th, 2017 | Bryan Logan

The FBI used information from the explosive, unverified dossier detailing President Donald Trump's alleged ties to Russia to obtain a warrant to secretly monitor former Trump adviser Carter Page.

That same dossier — a collection of memos compiled by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele — has been used in other elements of the US investigation into whether there was any inappropriate contact between Trump campaign associates and Russia.

CNN first reported the FBI's use of the dossier to secure the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant on Page, the former Trump foreign-policy adviser who has appeared to be at the center of the Trump-Russia investigations — due in part to his previous work in Russia and his communications with Russian officials.

President Donald Trump has previously called the dossier "phony stuff" and "fake news."

Page has resurfaced in headlines at several points since the 2016 election — most recently last week, when he declared that he could not "definitively" say that he never discussed US sanctions with any Russian official. The dossier alleges Page met senior Russian officials during a trip to Moscow last July, when he gave a speech critical of US policy toward Russia. It also alleges Page discussed sanctions and business opportunities with the Russian officials. Page has denied the information contained in the dossier.

Conned... yeah right. How did you sign up in 2011 and still manage to be born yesterday?

McCain was the person that went and pick up the dossier and delivered it to the FBI.

“On 18 November, the annual Halifax International Security Forum opened in the Canadian city, bringing together serving and former security and foreign policy officials from around the world.

Senator John McCain, a hawkish Republican, was there and was introduced to a former senior western diplomat who had seen the documents, knew their source and thought him highly reliable. McCain decided the implications were sufficiently alarming to dispatch a trusted emissary, a former US official, to meet the source and find out more.

The emissary hastily arranged a transatlantic flight and met the source at the airport as arranged. (The Guardian has agreed not to specify the city or country where the meeting took place.) The meeting had a certain cold war tradecraft to it, as he was told to look for a man with a copy of the Financial Times. Having found each other, the retired counter-intelligence officer drove the emissary to his house, where they discussed the documents and their background.

The emissary flew back within 24 hours and showed McCain the documents, saying it was hard to impossible to verify them without a proper investigation. McCain said he was reluctant to get involved, lest it be perceived as payback for insulting remarks Trump had made about him during his rambunctious campaign. “

Didn’t McCain send someone to obtain the dossier and then hand it to the FBI?

I think they have been waving that dossier around, even in Trump’s face, in an attempt to introduce it into evidence. They are trying to make the false comparison “If you accept the dossier makes McCain look bad, then you must also accept that the dossier makes Trump look bad.” This is just their latest effort.

MOTIVE: Clintons up to their necks in Russian connections and payoffs, afraid this will become a big negative campaign issue for them, and noticing that Trump has said a couple things about Putin that could be spun as "positive," decides to pre-empt the issue, send their oppo team into high gear, collecting every rumor ever uttered by anyone, reliable or not, having a Russian/Trump nexus, then package it into the dossier, and have one of their own political operatives within DOJ and/or FBI present it to FISA as factual. The FISA judges have absolutely no tools, no way, of determining whether the dossier is factual or not, except to ask and trust the DOJ/FBI.

Who, as surely you know, are sinless humans.

Notice that the FISA/dossier event occurred just days after Trump clearly had vanquished the Republican field and become the "nominee apparent."

This is what gets me abotu the republicans- Had a republican put out a FAKE dossier about a democrat opponent- the left would scream bloody murder until everyone involved in the deceit was run out of office- but the dems put out a FAKE Dossier, and the republicans just smile and act like there’s nothing wrong-

After Catherine Englebrecht of True the Vote testified to congress a few years ago how no less that four federal agencies came down on her and her husband’s business, I assumed that every exec branch agency would be on call to assist the 2016 rat nominee.

Unless a few people go to prison, wave goodbye to free elections and the remains of our republic.

The FBI has been weaponized against the law-abiding citizenry it is supposed to protect.

And each of the “Clinton server email investigations” were handled to BENEFIT Hillary Clinton.

First, Comey might have detailed all she did wrong, BUT he then he declined to forward for prosecution saying that no real prosecutor would prosecute. IOW, he said there was no evidence of criminality.

And Clinton used that throughout her campaign.

Second, the Weiner laptop emails were in the multiple thousands, but Comey again set it up to simply say, “Nothing there.” He exonerated her for the 2nd time.

I find it hard to believe that both Trump and Sessions are naive on this. My guess is that Comey has enough dirt on enough important people that he's dommunicated that fact to Trump.

With the US Senate being so close with just a 2 vote majority, I suspect that's where Comey's dirt lies.

We have been informed, as a result of all these recent revelations, the Intel Community will undertake operations at the request of the Group of Eight in addition to POTUS.

We also know that McCain delivered the dossier to the FBI. And the author of the dossier has abandoned his home and gone underground.

What I would like to know is just HOW did the FBI pay for this dossier? Did they generate a PO, receive an invoice and cut a check? Who in FBI approved the expenditure?

Or, did McCain arrange a cash drop?

I would like to see the House committee and DOJ get to the bottom of those questions.

I think it was a Rino pac that paid for the smut repoprt on Trump. They gave it to McBackstabber who turned it over to the FBI.
