Several black activists at Pomona College, associated with the Claremont Colleges, have sent a letter to the college president asking administrators to "take action" against conservative journalists from the student publication The Claremont Independent.
The president, David Oxtoby, posted an email defending the right of Black Lives Matter critic Heather Mac Donald to speak. Mac Donald was physically threatened and forced to cancel a lecture at Claremont following protests against her appearance.
The activists claim that "free speech" is incompatible with "truth" and therefore should not be protected.

BTW, Heather MacDonald's new book, The War on Cops: How the New Attack on Law and Order Makes Everyone Less Safe is a "must read". MacDonald is erudite yet highly interesting and readable (a rare combination).
Of course, they assume they will be the ones to determine what is the "truth". Free speech is about people giving opinions, not about "truth".
Give them a plot of land 7 foot by 3 foot by 6 foot deep, and they can stay there forever.

Back in the '40s and '50s the communists spoke of the "dialectic" when they strung words together in incomprehensible sntences.
I always thought it was to make them sound cerebral and intellectual as they pushed their dogma on the rubes and pretty but naive girls.

I think it’s time for Americans to “take action” against these so called “colleges” and “universities”. They breed too much hatred in the minds of the kiddies. Feral “college” kiddies (fascist snowflakes) are one of the greatest threats to our national security.
