United Airlines is reportedly compensating all customers who were on the flight in which a passenger was forcibly removed from his seat.

All customers on the flight will be compensated for the cost of their tickets, CNBC reported Wednesday.

Video surfaced earlier this week of security personnel violently dragging a passenger in Chicago from his seat after the man refused to give up his spot to an airline staffer.

The video sparked national outrage and calls for congressional investigations.

“Except United had no legal right to force him to give up his seat for someone else once he boarded the aircraft.”

Actually United had the legal right and each passenger’s prior agreement.

Can you reference a source that says he is not the poker doctor?

I think it is him and confusion was that a Louisiana doctor was him.

But, I only know what I’ve read.

Try to board a submarine without authorization.
Hell a top side watch pulled a gun on Admiral Rickover.

My sister-in-law went out in her Zociac to retrieve her boat that had broken loose from its mooring overnight and drifted toward the Bangor nuclear submarine base a couple of miles from her house.

Yes, armed Marines did almost make her wet her pants. But, in the end they were nice enough to help her get to the boat and get it back home.

Munez’s days are over. Is he even a citizen. His family apparently came here illegally.

They can boot him at the gate, once he’s boarded and in the seat its different criteria.

And just because United wants to give his seat to an employee isn’t in that criteria.

You’re right. Will not fly with United after this.
Flew with Jet Blue last month. No problems...

I can’t believe this ever made it to the news. A mentally deranged passenger acted like a child and had to be dragged off the plane like a petulant child and 5 out 6 six are siding with the idiot passenger. What the heck is wrong with people!?

He was asked politely 3 times before physical removal was necessary. He had two choices. Leave the plane like a man or be dragged off like a toddler. He chose the latter. End of story.

I simply don’t think you are correct.

A business can boot anyone for just about anything and in this case the agreement when one buys a ticket is that any passenger can be bumped.

Doesn’t matter of one has boarded the plane or not.

And, let’s say it did matter, he was off the plane and ran back on without being boarded.

I am not condoning the airline policy or behavior of the airport cops.

I am pointing out another side of it that to my mind is obvious via-a-vis his childlike behavior.

Adults do not throw temper tantrums like a child in the terrible twos, even if being treated unfairly.

He broke the law when he resisted arrest.

He wasn't being arrested... he was being improperly ejected from a flight because the airline screwed up and placed the comfort and convenience of its pampered union employees over their paying customers.

Doesn’t matter of one has boarded the plane or not.

Actually, it does matter and that is the heart of the issue. In fact nothing else is relevant... it doesn't matter how he acted AFTER they abused him, it doesn't matter what his criminal past was, and it doesn't matter if he screamed when tased.

The ONLY thing that matters is the question of why UAL didn't deal with their employees' seating arrangements when they were supposed to do so... BEFORE boarding passengers and not after.
