From what I’ve read, surmised and also what LS says, this “Bannon on the outs/Kushner rules” etc is speculative garbage akin to stupid soap operas.
I think Bannon is on his way out. Bannon will quit if offered a diminished roll.
Kushner is not good.
We’ll see soon.

Mika and Joe love Jared. Mika is a “friend” of Ivanka’s. Mika chortles that Trump’s “closest aides” call Mika and Joe “all the time”. Is Mika lying? Who’s forces call Mika and Joe all the time? Bannon? Nope.
Mika and Ivanka pal up on “women’s issues”. ZZZzzz.
Trump is a user. He will use Bannon until he no longer wants or need him. Bannon will only be effective to the degree Trump allows him. My guess is he’s on his way out. I believe there will be an attempt to allow all parties to save face and give Bannon a soft landing.

I just finished listening to the whole Morning Joe segment...clearly pro Prince Kush.
The takeaway...move over Bannon..It’s Miller Time.
We will see if that ends up being right.
All organizations have power struggles, including the one between Manafort and Lewandowski. What I reject is the notion that Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing and is being manipulated by Kush.
Do you reject that he favors Kushner’s side of this equation...because it is CLEAR this is between Kushner’s side and Bannon’s side.
Btw, please notice he says he has confidence in Comey of all people...but at about the same time..he refused to say it about Bannon.
I don’t presume to know which side he favors. Given that he fired his own brother for failing to perform, I don’t think you should draw those conclusions either.
And BTW, his widely reported Washington Examiner comment would apply to Kush, Conway, and Miller. Trump won the primary without any of them.
He won’t fire Kushner until Kushner has a dramatic fall.
So either Bannon has to kowtow to Kushner until that happens -thus Trump’s very public kick in the gonads to Bannon - or he will be relegated to another position or pushed out.
The only people that can save Bannon other than himself are the Mercers..
I don’t agree. First, both Conway and Miller are with Bannon. Second, Trump is very smart, and knows-—despite the bluster-—that Bannon is the heart of the blue collar support.
Third, we still don’t know who was for/against the strike. One story says Bannon v Kush, another says all agreed, and a third said Bannon Kush opposed but Mattis’s opinion carried the day.
This is likely why you saw Bannon trying to herd the damn House Freedom Caucus in line-—because he knew that by them holding out it weakened his influence on other issues.
