Morning Joe has been on a Steve Bannon-bashing tear the last couple of days, with various panel members predicting his departure from the White House. As Mika Brzezinski put it yesterday, the end is nigh for Bannon.
But Mark Halperin made a strong case for Bannon on todays show, saying that being conventional is not what got Donald Trump elected, and that Bannon is one of the few people in the White House and in Trumps life who is creative, whos innovative, who takes risks, who advocates taking risks. Someone has to be for that.

Interesting. Halperin doesn’t joing the Bannon bashers, makes case for him.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Is the “Trump lukewarm to Bannon” real or just MSM agitprop?
We know the left salivates at the thought of forcing Bannon out.
I tend to think Bannon is on thin ice, judging from Trump’s unenthusiastic comments about him to the NY Post.

Great minds talk about ideas; big minds talk about events; small minds talk about people. This crowd are small minds, and not worth listening to.
Yeah I’d say that dissing the Crown Prince and the Princess Royal is taking a heck of a risk. One Bannon may well lose.
Gee, and here I thought is was Ivanka who was the advocate for taking huge risks.
Bannon is one of the few on the right in the White House.
I hope President Trump keeps him, I fear a sharp left turn if he doesn’t.
The media and talking heads have gone after almost everyone in the Trump Cabinet and Administration and will continue to do so...
Wait until the indictments start coming out, you think what we have been through is going to be ruff, you haven't seen anything yet...buckle up folks, this train is picking up speed and we are in for another ‘tough’ ride...your either on and buckled in or you best get off...rough months ahead!!!
Bannon may have all the right ideas. But Bannon has never built anything large. He has never worked within a large organization. In fact he has always chosen to stay out of large complex organizations. So, while Bannon’s ideas are good. he is hardly the guy to run the execution of his ideas. He is an architect not a builder. He has his place, but his place is not everywhere, doing everything.
From what I’ve read, surmised and also what LS says, this “Bannon on the outs/Kushner rules” etc is speculative garbage akin to stupid soap operas.
PS -should have added, and the media is fanning the flames of the embers they created solely to weaken Bannon because they hate him as much as they hate Trump, and get us - who support Trump - to distrust him.
This is, IMHO, so they can get more Dem/Rinos elected in 2018 and take over the presidency in 2020.
And so many on FR are just gnashing their teeth, pulling their hair, and believing this garbage.
JMHO etc.
If that happens, we all lose. There are way too many swamp creatures who have slithered into the WH, and hardly no loyal Trump supporters or those Deplorables/Freedom Caucus people who got him elected. I'm worried, after the bombing advocated by the Princess (there have been no denials her opinion was a factor), that President Trump could go over to the dark side. One of my first concerns was when he blamed the Freedom Caucus for sinking RyanCare, which was a fake repeal of Obamacare.
All Bannon has to do to stay is remember that he is not the boss. He is part of a team. If you can’t modify your behavior enough to do that you becoming annoying and useles.
Sebastian Horka amongst others
Bannon ain’t the boss. When you are part of a team you have to play nice if you want to win.
Straight from Trump’s mouth:
...He ended by saying, Steve is a good guy, but I told them to straighten it out or I will.
Thanks to both of you threads on MJ, as you’re able. They are no.1 in the Beltway viewing, on both sides of the aisle. They keep the Capital in a rage against Trum
After watching MJ over time, Mark Halprin, is the most reluctant of Mika warriors against all things Trump bitterly engaged in taking down his staff, one at a time. Mark is not.
Mark is never visceral and vicious like Joe and Mika. He is of his own mind.
Same for Robert Corsa the WP reporter. (I’m almost sure I’m mis-stating Robert’s last name.) Robert was the reporter Trump called up on the phone recently. I thought DJT must have wanted a message delivered to nasty Joe & Mika, since Robert is a regular. It was a good news message he shared.
Joe has crossed the Rubicon. A full fledged nutter, now, invested in taking down Trump. (Maybe forced to by Comcast, but he is a very convincing hate machine.)
And yet....
“Trump told the business networks Maria Bartiromo that he still has confidence in Comey, but he blamed the Obama administration appointee for keeping Hillary Clinton out of jail, and he said its not too late to fire him.
No, its not too late [to fire Comey], but, you know, I have confidence in him. Well see what happens. Its going to be interesting, Trump told Bartiromo.”
Exactly. Trump’s the boss. Act accordingly.
