"Asked by Blitzer, who, exactly he was apologizing to, Spicer said, 'Well, clearly, anybody who not just suffered in the holocaust or is a descendant of anybody, but frankly anyone who was offended by those comments.'

Then, in another verbal hiccup, the spokesman said he hadn't meant to be a distraction as Trump tried to 'destabilize the region,' pointing to Syria and the Middle East. "

Oh dear...

This is what happens when you try to demonize the enemy.

We know Assad is a bad guy, but you don't have to compare him to Hitler!

“went on CNN to fight for his job” The last place to go for anything is CNN. Just say I made a mistake and tell all the rabid leftists to pound sand. The guy is dumb if he thinks this will help.

I swear to God that the only thing that many Americans learned in the publik propaganda mill skools is what a bad guy Adolf Hitler was.

Ring the Adolf bell, and the little morons salivate on cue.

It's an embarrassing intellectual desert here in this country at times.

Simple solution. All politicians must never mention the name of Hitler again. For any reason. Be afraid to open your mouth because someone will twist what you say. Speak the minimal on any topic. You don’t owe the bast@@@s any more than that.

All he had to say was: “I meant chemical weapons on the battlefield; was not referring to the Holocaust showers.

So the retarded snowflakes want him to quit? Now that’s really dumb. Funny we never heard this kind of fascist BS when one of Barry’s boys or bimbos said something dumb. And that happened quite frequently. This is so childish and retarded.

The Left desperately needs something to blunt the success of President Trump’s highly praised airstrike on Syria, and his success on the confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch. Consequently, they are not going to let up on Spicer. Was it a dumb comparison that Spicer made? Of course it was. However, Spicer should acknowledge that he misspoke, then stand his ground. When a Democrat misspeaks, a simple apology is considered more than sufficient, and everybody should move on. When it’s a Republican, no amount of apology will suffice. You are expected to pay for it with your career.

He screwed up. He apologized. Move on. (Liberals haven’t got a leg to stand on. They have a long history of saying and doing outrageous things).

Spicer does the right thing and mans up and acknowledges he made a mistake. Kind of refreshing in this era of mindless doubling down regardless if right or wrong.

He is a good man and excellent communications director ... and human.

This is this has stupidest controversies ever ...

any ww2 historian would tell you Hitler personal fear of using chemical weapons ...in combat because he’d been gassed in World War 1...

And that was based on the fear of retaliation by the Allies and was fearful of chemical warfare

The gassing .in concentration camps during the Holocaust was not chemical warfare .....its was was genocide not war and it was evil convenience

the jews we’re not combatants they were murder/executed. So does any execution ...justified or unjustified by gas make that country guilty of chemical warfare?

We are talking about weapons of war vs execution of prisoners

To compare using chemical weapons in War ...with the Holocaust is a disrespect to those that died in the Holocaust

Because Hitler was gas by the Allies in World War 1. If you make that comparison you’re in a way justify Hitler because he was a gas “victim” first

You giving Hitler moral equivalency with his Holocaust victims. That’s crazy

By apologizing, Spicer was falling into the political correctness trap. So I feel strongly that he shouldn’t have apologized. But the fact that he did is no reason for us to malign him. We’ve all been trapped like that at one time or another.

What we should be doing is maligning the very existence of political correctness. In other words, we should be doing exactly what we did all campaign season, culminating in what we did at the ballot box when we voted for Trump.

This includes standing strong behind Sean Spicer.

They aren’t interest in your apology, Sean, they want your head.

And if you keep on apologizing, they’re going to get it.

Here’s what you say. Don’t understand what I said? Don’t like what I said? F*** you.

That’s it.

Move on, or you’ll be without a job. Real damn simple.

Spicer didn’t express himself well and some heartfelt apology was in order.

Apologies are even more in order from those on the left who purposefully lie about his comments, calling him a “holocaust denier” and making a big deal about his use of “Holocaust center” instead of “concentration camp” (which is also a euphemism). I’d like to see punchback about these liars.

Those calling for his resignation (director of Anne Frank Center, Nancy Pelousy, most of the dim party and MSM) always want the resignation of anyone in the Trump admin. for any reason at all. No news there.

So it’s ok to compare Trump to Hitler but a tyrant who actually does gas and murder his own citizens can’t be compared to Hitler, who gassed and murdered his own citizens. Something wrong with this.

'I apologize, it was a mistake to do that,' Spicer said to the network's Wolf Blitzer, whose own parents survived the Holocaust. Blitzer's paternal grandparents were killed by the Nazis at Auschwitz.

Wolf treats George Soros with much more respect. Go figure.

Here is the answer.

1. NO HE SHOULD NOT QUIT OR BE FIRED, right now.

After awhile, he should be fired/promoted because he is a LOUSY press secretary.

2. Hey Sean..... NEVER use the words Hitler or Nazis. You are just begging for trouble when you do. No GOOD can come from using them.

You are (supposed to be) a PR guy! How STUPID do you have to be to use the word Hitler? It is dangerous, as you are seeing and it is so cliché, so gauche, so infantile.

If you reach into your mind bag and come up with the word “Hitler”, it was really your bag of straws and you got the last one in there.

Hey Sean, why didn’t you prove how bright you are and answer that at least Hitler “made the trains run on time”. (I know it was Mussolini, but he probably doesn’t).
