I don’t particularly care which bathroom you use, as long as you wash your hands when you’re done. I also don’t particularly care if your company suffers a huge backlash for bowing to political correctness. And I don’t go to Target stores much anymore, ever since a Meijer store opened up near me. So Target’s recent travails don’t really concern me. Tough luck.

I’ve been around people like that. If one is cordial to them and can carry on an intelligent conversation, they automatically assume your politics are identical.
Which seems pretty stupid, considering they’re all so smug and smart.
These hired hand public CEOs live in their own world (and club) where they think they know so much that they have an obligation to inject their politics.
They are rarely held accountable for incompetent decisions and fired without getting a major golden parachute. That they are protected by an employment contract is an outrage while underlings are at will employees. Kellogg CEO played politics and many employees are losing jobs.

Ever since Target chose to make its bathrooms safe for cross-identifying men to be in the womens/girls room, I have chosen to shop elsewhere.
We have a lot of choices when we seek to buy toothpaste and paper towels, and I am happy with my alternative.

Totally flawed and sloppy reporting. Even what passes for a journalist today ought to know that correlation is not causation.
TGT has been on a decline for several years, due to factors having nothing to do with the bathroom issue. There is absolutely no evidence that the sales results quoted are due to that issue. There may be a cause and effect relationship or maybe not, the article doesn’t say and no one has put forth anything other than conjecture to imply there is.
