War is not Good! Nuke War is Double Un-Good! A high altitude Nuke Magnetic Impulse wave would knock out every PC, computer, electrical system and car in America. we would be reduced to second world status overnight. Americans would be killing each other for food. It would take 30 years to recover and America would never be great—China/India would rule the world. Maybe Iran would take over the Middle East—Israel would be no more.
War is to be avoided at all costs!

In light of your new position, perhaps a tagline change is in order.

Yep.

I hired Mr. Trump to fix the country, not to fight Ww3.

That said, I trust his judgement on Syria. But he needs to push hard on a settlement that ends the civil war in Syria.

I was inclined to believe the Russia and the US could be real allies against Islamofascism.

I no longer believe that, because I don't think Putin sees Islamo-kookery as a real threat to Russia. His actions in Syria have been almost exclusively directed towards maintaining Assad in power-- whatever attacks were made against ISIS were made simply to ease supply lines for Assad. Putin is leaving all the heavy lifting in the fight against ISIS to us.

In addition, Putin has strongly allied Russia with Iran, one the biggest supporters of terrorism, and there are reports of Russian cooperation with the Taliban.

The only guiding principles of Putin's foreign policy that I can see are Russian aggrandizement and hatred of the West, especially of the United States.

And we've allied with Saudi Arabia, one of the biggest supporters of terrorism.

We will kick their behinds in a conventional war.

Nations armed with nuclear and biological WMDs have never lost a conventional war. Ever. And who is this we you are speaking of? Are you or yours on the line or are you just part of the cheering section to the upcoming bloodletting?

A few more questions: What makes you think Russia's response will be on the military battlefield? Do you really expect them to respond on a field where they can not win or do you think they may find another way to respond?

Zero Hedge is RT with an American staff of three in the USA.

LOL and very accurate, at least regarding foreign policy.

Yes and no: the Saudis "support terrorism" in the sense that they allow money and recruits to flow from Saudi Arabia to terrorist groups abroad, partly (I think) to relieve internal political pressure.

But Iran is a direct state sponsor of terrorist groups and has used them (like Hezbollah in Lebanon) to attack the US and its allies.

OH MAN. Now you done it! You injected common sense into the discussion.

Russia can NOT afford a conflict. Hell they can not even gain control over the situation in Syria-how long have they been there now?

Russia has been had, and now they are looking to deflect the blame onto someone else. They just found out that this POTUS is NOT like the last, and they do NOT like it.

Trump had no choice. Either he acted, or he would have been seen as an extension of the last administration.

And we actually have people on here that seem to be saying it is OK for anyone use chemical weapons? WTH?!

This conflict has to be contained or it will spill over into Jordan and Israel. Then what? Sad fact..it was contained and the last POTUS allowed it to get out when he withdrew us from IRAQ.

Should have kept that GD country and sucked the oil out of it till it was nothing but a GD hole in the ground.

The last thing the U.S. wants is a conventional or nuclear war with Russia.

When was war declared??? I must’ve missed that....

Last night around 9:30 when the US launched a deadly military attack on a sovereign nation. That was an act of war. No paper work was required to make it a fact. The dead bodies left on the Syrian airbase were sufficient statements of fact.

That Russia is helping the Syrian government that invited Russia in just for that purpose -— is no surprise. For quite awhile the news reports have been pretty consistent how Russia is fighting against ISIS while how Obama was sending them all sorts of weapons ( through a non- existent third force proxy). And Obama- HilLIARy’s Benghazi diaster was centered around their secret supply system to, for those very enemy forces in Syria. And it was Obama that deliberately destabilized and threatened Syria in the first place. Now then, whether Russia is and will remain serious about fighting Islamic terrorist murder gangs is uncertain. It could help if USA were to switch sides now and start trying to destroy the isis and hezbellah moslem murder gangs. Maybe my vision of a “natural USA- Russian alliance” might just shake out, come to be. But as long as we appear to be on the enemy’s side ( arming and financing them as with isis or protecting them and their weapons stockpiles like with Iran and hezbellah) then Russia has no American ally in destroying the moslem terror gangs. I’m hoping our new President will Drain the Swamp in washDC of all the anti- American enemy agents Obama stashed in our defense, security, and intelligence agencies ( for starters). Then we-ll see if he can make things better. Right now I doubt he can, not with Obama- soroz islamonazi spies and saboteurs in so many key agencies —??? I therefore think he was right about Draining the Swamp. If he can —— if he will do it now -— if he can -—

Maybe this is a scheme to unite Europe into George Marshall’s EUSSR, who knows.

It may be an act of war but that doesn’t make it a war or a declaration of war. If Assad wants to see it that way and strike back I guess he’s free to take his best shot. lol

I don’t know how you define “conventional,” but if you mean non-nuclear and include guerilla war we lost a conventional war in Vietnam and the Soviets lost a conventional war in Afghanistan.
