Russian PM: "US On Brink Of Military Clash With Russia"
Zero Hedge ^ | 04/07/17 | Tyler Durden

In a statement on Friday morning, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that the US missile strike violated not only international, and added that the attack “was on the brink of military clashes with Russia.”

“Instead of their much-publicized thesis about a joint fight with a common enemy, Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL], the Trump administration has proven that it will fiercely fight against the legal government of Syria,” Medvedev wrote on his Facebook page.

Ealier in the day, the Kremlin released a statement according to which "President Putin views the U.S. strikes on Syria as aggression against a sovereign state in violation of the norms of international law and on a made-up up pretext. This step by Washington will inflict major damage on U.S.-Russia ties."

"President Putin views the U.S. strikes on Syria as aggression against a sovereign state in violation of the norms of international law and on a made-up up pretext," said a Kremlin statement. "This step by Washington will inflict major damage on U.S.-Russia ties."

Moscow suspended communication with U.S. forces designed to stop planes colliding over Syria. A Russian frigate carrying cruise missiles sailed through the Bosphorus Strait into the Mediterranean Sea, although there was no indication it was directly in response to U.S. action.

Meanwhile, the International Committee of the Red Criss told Reuters that the situation in Syria "amounts to an international armed conflict" following U.S. missile strikes on a Syrian airbase.

"Any military operation by a state on the territory of another without the consent of the other amounts to an international armed conflict," ICRC spokeswoman Iolanda Jaquemet told Reuters in Geneva in response to a query.

"So according to available information - the U.S. attack on Syrian military infrastructure - the situation amounts to an international armed conflict."

I guess that Trump turned out not to be as flexible as Obama.

it still remains my opinion that Russia is a natural ally for USA ... IF we are serious about wiping out the Moslem terrorist murder gangs like PLO=PA-Fatah, Hezbellah, ISIS, Hamas, AlQuaida, Moslem Brotherhood and so forth and so on.

if we are seriously going to do it, reverse Obama’s arming and funding and training of Moslem murder gangs (and Iran!)
...

we can do it now at far far far lower cost than if we keep waiting while the Moslems get more and more dangerous weapons

That would mean Russia is on the brink with a clash with NATO, which has a lot more teeth with the addition of Eastern Bloc members.

NATO includes Turkey. Does Russia want a clash with the US, Turkey, as well as NATO?

Does Russia realize they have made an enemy of Ukraine. That means the Ukraine might aid the US in some way (intelligence for example) as well as possible Military Intervention.

Right now, the Russian bear has made enemies under Putin that will sting (Ukraine, Turkey).

And some of those Eastern Bloc members have a memory of what the Soviet did to them from 1940s to 1990.

This may mean Russia may get their rear end kicked.

The B1 Bomber, the B2 Bomber, the F22, the F35, F18, F16, F15, F14, etc are more than a match for Russian aircraft.

None of the Russian aircraft are stealth like the B2, F22 and F35.

I am so afaid of all those aircraft getting shot down -- Russian aircraft that is.

The only ones unconcerned about sarin use on their troops in theater there would be the ones that put the sarin there and control it.

I suspect this was worked out in advance to take the wind out of the sails of the supposed Trump-Putin connection. That lie is dead now.

So great that so many FReepers are so eager to go to war. /s

“Oh, we’ll kick Russian butt!” I note that many of the warmongers do NOT have family serving, because in any war with Russia—even just a “conventional” one—we will lose American lives.

How in the world does destruction of Assad help the USA? Where did Trump get authority to declare war without Congress? I thought Americans were tired of war! Well, it’s probably just Americans who have blood in the game...

Hmmm. This could be one of the great hands played politically. Potentially with one military action against Russia’s client state DJT may have undermined all the Democrap and MSM false narrative and vaporous conspiracy theories of Trump-Russia collusion. And there was Bannon sitting with all the others and we’re told there was no dissension from this action. POTUS takes advantage of the ‘official’ version of the chemical attack, and now presents as both strong and compassionate. Premature bravo, well done Mr. President?

We are doing the bidding of the Saudis.
We will never be serious about opposing Islam as long as we keep doing their bidding like we have for decades.
I thought electing Trump was going to change that, guess not.

Assad is just a tool of the Russians and Iranians.

Last week, the Trump administration made a very public reversal in US policy announcing that US was open to Assad remaining in power pending negotiations.

This week, Russia and Assad responded with another gas attack, which can only be seen as a slap in the face.

The missile attack is our response, as well as putting together a coalition to work for Assad's removal.

Prior to this I would have supported holding our nose and working with the Russians and Assad as long as the Iranians and Hezbollah are shut out of Syria. I would still support such a deal now on condition that Russia remove Assad.

But right now Russia and Assad have acted as though Obama were still in office and the US can be treated with contempt. Trump has just reminded them that that is no longer the case.
