Report: Female Fox News Employees Feel 'Concern' ‘Anguish’ and ‘Distress’ Over Bill O’Reilly

Bill O’Reilly has been accused of sexual harassment by women who’ve worked at Fox, but what do those women who are still at the network think?

Yes, we know what advertisers think, since over 50 of them have absconded and were notably absent during last night’s broadcast. Still, it was on last night, minimal ads or not. Surely, that has to be upsetting to some women within the network.

A new report indicates that it is.

Over on NPR, David Folkenflik says that women in the company are not happy with how the situation is being handled.

“There’s a lot of anguish, distress, and concern among employees at Fox News — particularly women — about the fact that Bill O’Reilly has been allowed to continue almost un-rebuked by his employers, seemingly,” said Folkenflik––the reporter who brought the alleged use of a “leg cam” by Fox News to the general public a few years ago with the release of his book Murdoch’s World

Folkenflik went on to talk about how it was 21st Century Fox’s Rupert Murdoch‘s promise to overhaul the culture at Fox that allowed Roger Ailes to allegedly sexually harass women hasn’t really come to fruition at all, as demonstrated by the “fresh attention” on O’Reilly from sources like the New York Times and others.

As a result, some women at Fox have “contempt” for O’Reilly and “cynicism” about the Murdoch family’s sincerity, according to Folkenflik.

UPDATE — 3:46 p.m. EST:

This has been edited to clarify that The O’Reilly Factor did not run short due to lack of ads last night. Language in an earlier version was unclear.

Same for me. I like men that flirt with me and still do. It’s not a criminal activity like the women of today have made it to be. We handled “fresh” men on our own. Usually by laughing at them with our girlfriends behind their backs. It’s a sad world when a man can’t flirt with a woman anymore without being sued.

Well, now that Rupert’s out and his lefty-lib sons run the show, why hasn’t the “culture” all been corrected?

Look. It’s the era of the “snow flakes”. Whiners and wetters everywhere.

It must run its course, I suppose, but if Trump can oust some circuit court judges, these snow flake complaints will get tossed out bones and all, instead of indulged by the courts with all pomp and circumstance.

Maybe it is being “corrected”... in favor of the girls, to boot the boys. These owners are Leftists you know, and class warfare and divisiveness are thought cool the Alinskyites.

Funny how they only claim “harassment” AFTER years go by and they collect millions of dollars in salary.

Women in the workplace lately are always looking for someone to sue. It’s shameful. Someone with a big chip on their shoulder already, usually.

“It’s a sad world when a man can’t flirt with a woman anymore without being sued.”

AGREED. Maybe that’s why internet dating is such a hit.

After the Clarence Thomas hearings, I knew the workplace wasn’t going to be fun anymore. Thank you Anita Hill.

" never heard ol KG, Harris Faulkner, Sandra Smith or Dana Perino complaining or filing a lawsuit."

Dana Perino, now there's a head with NO functioning brain cells!

" are total pinheads, especially Dana Perino (if I hear her talk about George Bush one more time I’m gonna vomit) and mclame’s daughter is a cow who should be off the air anyway cuz she hasn’t nothing to offer at all!! "

Aww, let's be fair, Dana Perino does have a brain! Trouble is it belongs to her dog!

As for, mclame’s daughter is a cow, I'm in utter agreement!

Dana Perino has said nothing funny, insightful or courageous for more than twenty years, including when she was press secretary for W.

She is a RINO flack at heart.

This is what I have been thinking too. MeAgain Kelly is cheering them on and giving advice, because all of this will only help her out.

What are bimboes saying that O’reilly did? I haven’t heard.

I'm wondering the same thing. I keep seeing this story, but haven't noticed anything that spelled out what O'Reilly supposedly did to harass the women.

I’m beginning to feel that much of this “scandal” is just plain bs extortion that succeeded in taking out Roger Ailes and is now assaulting O’Reilly with the overall end goal of taking out Fox News as a respected opposition voice. Where’s the funding for all of this coming from? As Freud said, “ The paranoid is never entirely mistaken.”

I think Anita Hill was just too stupid to understand what was going on.

They talked to her about Clarence Thomas, trying to find dirt, and she related some stories about times in the office.

I don’t even think they asked her “give us some dirt to stop this judge” because she might not even have cooperated.

She told them about a time he found a hair on his coke can and joked “there’s a pubic hair on my can” (which, at the time, was a slight ‘fad’ joke that was going around - it was funny to say “pubic hair” about things)

They said (to themselves) “AH-HA ! WE’LL CALL THAT SEXUAL HARASSMENT!” and called her in to testify.

She even said so at the time- something to the effect that she barely understood what she was there for and what the big deal was herself...once again, too stupid to understand and SAY SO.

And all the democrats questioned her with severely baited questions, making it SEEM like she was out to get him,...

And NONE of the Republicans were smart enough to just ask “Did you feel sexually harassed and do you think he should not be a supreme court judge?” (No one actually asked her that question - and she seemed slightly confused by the whole thing)

Well heck, maybe the poor dears should just stay in and do their nails. Water their houseplants. Apparently the cold cruel world of cushy overpaid media jobs is just too distressing for them.
