Yuengling CEO Says Lefty, Anti-Trump Boycott of His Beer Fails
Newsbusters.org ^ | April 7, 2017 | James Powers

First Ivanka’s clothing line, now Yuengling.

Just prior to the presidential election, the owner of Yuengling beer Dick Yuengling, Jr. endorsed Donald Trump. Immediately, liberals called for a boycott of the company.

The New York Times wrote about the endorsement and questioned the wisdom of Yuengling’s statements, “Will a Yuengling Executive’s Endorsement of Trump Hurt Beer Sales?

But according to the company owner, the boycott failed to harm his business. Yuengling joined a March 30, panel discussion at an event called "Meeting of the Malts VI" in Bethlehem, Pa. Danya Henninger, culture editor for the Billy Penn website, reported that he said sales were “down a little,” but stressed it was “nothing noticeable.”

Yuengling also weighed in on feedback he had received since his endorsement.

“The calls and the emails, some of it was just vulgar,” Yuengling said. “Some people shook my hand, sent letters of support. But there were a lot of messages calling us names. I felt bad for the staff who had to go through all of it.”

But Yuengling did not seem too worried about the political fallout saying, “we survived Prohibition. We survived two world wars, when you couldn’t get any grain. We’ll be fine.”

The company is doing more than fine. According to Jerry Gaul of Phillyvoice.com,“Yuengling was crowned the top craft brewing company for the third straight year” for 2016 by The Brewers Association.

Shame their distribution is so limited. Maybe they keep it to what their facility can produce without expansion?

A whole lot of Red States to the West of where they distribute now. They just started distribution in Indiana this year. Lucky you.

I believe that Yeungling was Barry’s favorite beer as well.

I bought a 12 pack of Yuengling bottled lager yesterday. The stores in my area are overflowing with stacks and stacks of promotional Yuengling beer in the store fronts. Yuengling wasn’t available here until recently...

I don’t know about anywhere else, but here in Floriduh Yuengling did something ingenious to fight the boycott. They made 6 packs of their 16’oz cans. Every other 16 oz package down here is a 4-pack. So you had to be mighty motivated to pass that by, and not many people do. They can’t keep it on the shelves.

All I can say is I fully support the boycott. I get way more Yuengling. Thank you libtards!

Too bad it isn’t sold in Texas. I first had some in West Virginia, and I thought it was great!

Yeungling tastes like skunk piss to me, but I fully support them and Dick Yeungling actually goes in person to some of the bars here in Berks county where he buys beer for the clientele. Even those who don’t buy his skunk piss. Nice family.

I was a bud customer for years, even after they sold themselves. But since since they seem just like the pro EU new world order, u switched to Yling just two months ago and am enjoying it. Same price, but much better quality.

They are non-Union. I read where the The Pennsylvania Democrat party would not allow Yuengling at their state convention because they were not Union. Yuengling and Coors both supported Trump.

Just curious...

If you think Yeungling tastes like skunk piss, which types have you tried? Have you tried the Light Lager, the Lager, the Black and Tan, the Porter, the IPL, the Ale, etc...?

What types of beer do you enjoy?

I think if I had a company I would immediately produce a video spot with accompanying audio and print media...

Hi. I’m Zaphod Beeblebrox, on behalf of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. The folks at the S.C.C. wholeheartedly, unabashedly endorse President Donald J. Trump and every aspect of each and every one of his policies. The S.C.C. is begging all commies and sjw’s to call for an immediate boycott of our company. Sirius Cybernetics, in anticipation of it’s need for major expansion due to a vastly increased sales forecast would also like to announce that it is now accepting job applications for a variety of positions. Snowflakes need not apply. Thank you, Make the Universe Great Again and God Bless America and President Trump !

That would be an epic beer run.

When I was a kid, the big thing was getting Coors from Colorado. Our big extended family use to go camping at a big reservoir in central Nebraska for a week during the summer. There were tons of people, most of whom were related to me out there with various campers and tents and boats and there was lots of drinking by the adults. My cousin Tim was a big party animal in his early twenties. He was in the National Guard and was out at summer camp in Colorado. I have this vivid memory of this deuce and a half army truck pulling up to our campsite and everybody whooping and hollering. The truck stops and my cousin jumps out and opens the back flap of the bed revealing a full load of bootleg Coors transported in a vehicle that was federal property. It was quite a party that night. That was childhood in 1970’s Nebraska.

Same here. Only from Kansas. ‘Ol Adolf Coors limited sales of Coors to about 6 States. Augie Busch once said Coors would never be sold in Missouri. My how times change!
