The EU has become a dictator in its own right....and Germany is chief honcho. Not why it was setup.

EU is just the latest version of major European sovereigns trying to dominate each other as they have for millennia. Instead of beating the crap out of each other, they all decided to dominate each other simultaneously - which, of course, won’t work any better or longer than any of the other attempts.

Ahhh, but that was why it was set up. It’s very purpose is to control the people under it...and ultimately, the people of the world. The EU is the heart and soul of globalism.

In its current existence the actual EU has revolved around the Franco-German axis. Its evolution from an economic community of sovereign states to a totalitarian uber-state was just a matter of time, once they accepted the principle of common currency and erasure of national boundaries.

It will be a long painful road back to sanity, if they can do it at all. Eventual dissolution seems inevitable, accompanied by great weeping and gnashing of teeth and carnage at the door.

Germany knew it could take Europe without a shot, the problem they have are those pesky retirees and workers want good wages as promised so they need a slave labor force, voila wars in the middle east and relocation mandates..

Germany’s idea all along was to rule the EU as a result of its big bad economy.
Couldn’t do it through war.
