White House Meeting With Egypt’s Tyrant Highlights Key Trump Effect: Unmasking U.S. Policy
Intercept, the ^ | 03 April 2017 | Glenn Greenwald

Egypt’s hideous tyrant, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, is in the U.S. to visit the White House on Monday and this is how the New York Times’s Paul Krugman depicted this event:

Another morning in Trump's America http://www.politico.com/story/2017/04/trump-sisi-egypt-white-house-236782 …

6:57 AM - 2 Apr 2017

Krugman believes — or at least wants his Democratic followers to believe — that supporting and praising savage despotism in Egypt is a new development that only happens in “Trump’s America.” The Washington Post’s neoconservative columnist Jackson Diehl this morning encouraged Post readers to believe in the same fairy tale, complaining in his column about the “ugly scene” of a “love-in” between Trump and “the most repressive dictator in Egypt’s modern history.”

What neither Krugman nor Diehl ever once mentions — either because they’re unaware of it or want to conceal it from their readers — is that the U.S. has been supporting, funding, and arming the Sisi tyranny for years under the Obama administration. In March 2015, as Sisi’s human rights abuses intensified, Obama personally told the Egyptian tyrant in a call the good news that he was lifting a ban “on the delivery of F-16 aircraft, Harpoon missiles, and M1A1 tank kits” and — in the words of the White House — “also advised President al-Sisi that he will continue to request an annual $1.3 billion in military assistance for Egypt.”

This is fake news by omission, the media's favorite kind. They give a misleading impression by leaving out key facts.

Obama preferred to install the NAZI Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, succeeded and almost help turn Egypt in another extremist sharia law country.
And the neo-marxist left agreed that that was a good thing.

Obama’s candidate was crucifying Christians at the Egyptian Palace.

Over ten million Egyptians came out and marched, demanding that Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood be put down. And it was.

I would also like to ad, that President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi probably gave Trump all the info they have on the Muslim Brotherhood in America, including Obama.

el-Sisi is not a tyrant.

He got rid of the Muslim Brotherhood, and attended a Christmas mass with the Coptic Christians.

Yes, Utter Crap.

General Sisi saved his nation from despotism. When the Egyptians in 100,000s gathered to demonstrate against the abuse of Morsi and the MB, Sisi refused Morsi’s order to kill his own countrymen.

He is loved by the Egyptians.

He is one of the most respected leaders in the Middle East. Head and shoulders above the best of them.

I just checked through the article. I never heard of The Intercept or the writer before. So they think Morsi, the “first democratically elected president” was a good guy, and eeeevil Mubarak and eeeevil Al Sisi are eeeeevil dictators. Since I did not see a mention in the article of the Muslim Brotherhood, I can only assume that these people are brain damaged cretins with no moral compasses or sense of direction, or honesty.

I puke in Krugman’s and Greenwald’s general direction.

With only one normal, Democratic, liberal, free, open, educated, Western, stable, reliable and pro-USA country in the Middle East, (Israel), the US has to work with what they have.

Egypt like all the rest of the Arab/Persian/Muslim countries in that region are either despotic or fanatically religious, we must work with those regimes that at least in the mid-term, support OUR vision for that region.

Al-Sisi represents another, in a long line of military leaders who is fighting a HOLY war against the Muslim Brotherhood and all the ISIS/Daesh offshoots that threaten his regime.

We need to force Russia out of his sphere of influence once again.

The 8 Obama years killed US hegemony and influence in the world. It is time once again for our allies to trust us.

Exactly. They never give the Truth. Never. They only are controlling the emotions and perceptions of the masses to force the Overton Window off the cliff.

That has been going on for generations. I had to relearn almost everything because the psychopathic sodomite elites in early 1900 knew that to control all the information and textbooks and publishing companies and magazines and Hollywood (and they controlled it ALL), they could control the Minds of the masses.

Watch the videos on Edward Bernays, Freud’s Nephew, who perfected “Marketing of ideas” so he could literally make people do what was harmful to them and make evil “normal”. He got over 50% of women to smoke cigarettes when they originally thought it was a filthy and stinky habit.

Ray Bradbury (who is correct) stated that all MSM is just for addiction and distraction. It keeps people from the truth and from real wisdom and the growth of their intellect. MSM creates dumb, ignorant non-thinkers.

So Sisi was sworn in the exact same day as Trump? It’s as if Sisi never existed until today.

I do hope Rush digs up the Ahmed interview in Tahir Square when the Egyptians told Obama he’s a nobody and had nothing to do with the Arab protests even though the press was applauding how the Arab spring was all because of obama. (Never mind Obama threw the student protestors in Iran to the Mullahs.)

What is the point of posting this offal?

It's called "know your enemy".

Understanding what Greenwald, Krugman, etc. are up to is infinitely better than being blissfully unaware...
