I think the families of the kids shot and killed when they broke into a bait shop on Hwy 33 east of Tulsa, back around 1970 said the same thing.

“Breaking and entering in the night season with intention of committing a theft or felony therein”
It was a capital crime.

These are young criminals. Criminals break into peoples homes.
Brazen criminals break in while people are home.
Criminals doing this deserve being shot. They dont care enough about their own lives risking them on criminal stupid actions. Who trusts anyone breaking in they are not a lethal threat?

Disparity of force is in favor of the homeowner.
Young kid, larger armed attackers. Surprise attack invading the home. Disparity of force allows equal or greater use of force against these punk thugs.

It is completely false to present the dead thugs as petty thieves. The home invaders were wearing masks and carrying weapons for a reason: if they met any resistance, they planned to use deadly force against the occupants of the home. There is no other logical explanation. Certainly the victims were entitled to assume the thugs meant to harm them. End of story grandpa. Sorry you will not be getting your cut of the stolen goods anymore.
