Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Sunday that people "should be marching in the streets" to demand changes to "antiquated" education systems that aren't preparing students to be competitive in the job market against the robots of the future.
"The looming challenge of automation and artificial intelligence and the rapid advancement of technology brings great benefits but also creates huge challenges," Bush told radio host John Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York.
The threat of a number of jobs being lost to automation is "real," he said. "This is not something that's science fiction. This is happening as we speak. And yet we still have this big skills gap."

It’s an act of love.
It’s an act of love.
Without the robots though you are also without a job.
Jeb?!? Shut up, Meg...
Will Jeb did see Robot Rubio supplant him last year.
Sounds like something a synth would say.
Jebbie may be right — Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Stephen Hawking have warned us about AI.
The robots are threatening our illegal immigrants.
.... Years ago the term used to be “Automation” .... Now it’s been changed and demonized to the term “Robots” to make it sound much more sinister.
It never occurred to me to ask during the election, but how sure are we that Yeb! is actually a human being himself? I mean, if you were a robot trying to act like a politician, isn’t that exactly what you’d be like?
Had Jeb been inaugurated there WOULD have been a robot in a US job.
Aw, ya beat me to it.
I would think old NWO Jeb would be happy about this. Automated checkouts and order-takers are going to displace a lot of jobs that were some of the few to survive 2008.
Robots will do the jobs that illegal aliens won’t do.
If automation is such a huge threat, perhaps we should repeal ill concieved laws that make human labor unaffordable for employers
Robots and automation are yet another reason to import millions or poorly educated and poorly trained people. That never seems to occur to people like Jeb.
Oh darn should have been a not in there somewhere.
