Finally President Trump Calls Out #NeverTrump Members of Congress…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | Mar 30, 2017 | Sundance

Posted on 03/31/2017 7:13:18 AM PDT by xzins

After removing Katie Walsh from the White House staff, President Trump now moves to confront the #NeverTrump coalition in congress, Hillary’s Favorite Caucus, head on.

More than half of the remaining members of the House Freedom Caucus are still #NeverTrump, entrenched and intransigent Pro-Ted Cruz ideologues. They oppose Trump and have never moved beyond losing in the primary. They are still fighting the 2016 primary race they lost.

It appears President Trump has had enough of their ideological gridlock.

Do you honestly think that between Trump, a self made billionaire and Bannon, the smartest man in the room any room he walks into they don’t have this? O’ ye of little faith. They got this. Just watch. Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ip2GFGBWkA

You can see Schiff’s ass puckering. Listen to all of it. The Dem’s have been snookered. They are Screwed blued and tattood. They painted themselves into a corner. Notice the sweat on his forehead and the uncomfortableness of his demeanor and listen to his words. He realizes they are screwed. They were caught with a loose noose and are going to hang in it. Trump was fishing. Just set the hook. They are panicking.

The Trump team outthinks, outworks and outwitts anyone they come up against.

Trump is President and the FC better shape up. If they have better ideas on dumping Obamacare, then they have the responsibility to get the information to Trump. Never heard they did and only when President Trump requested their input. Something wrong here.

The only “idolatry” here is those worshiping to a nonexistent fairy tale conservatism

Go away.

Seriously. Go away.

Please don't tell me that this is what FreeRepublic has turned into.

This was the last place on the internet where "conservatism" was considered a real thing. It was still held up as a thing to be fought for.

Is Freerepublic now a place where conservatism is considered a fairy tale?

We have 2 choices: Oppose president Trump because we don’t get everything we want and watch the GOP go down in defeat in 2018 because we failed to deliver Obamacare relief.

If the kamikaze caucus hand Trump many more defeats Ryan and McConnell will just seize the agenda. And pass business as usual veto proof bills with Democrat votes if necessary. I really wish those cheering those bozos could think strategically. Nothing will end well on the track we are on.

I’m with you.. very few of us left here. I even recall my absolute horror when trump uttered this phrase..”I will force Israel”. No dictionaries on the campaign trail to look up “sovereign”. Trump is headed left, where he came from. Swamp leader. Amnesty and stimulus will be so much easier without those pesky Constitutionalists.

RE:”Pre-existing condition coverage is literally the most popular aspect of obamacare. You can count on your hands the number of people in Congress who would vote to repeal it. Can’t pin that one on Trump.”

The FC demand it be repealed.

Trump always said he would keep it.

Add those together and that is why there is no bill. Keep that and you cant repeal the rest wo killing off insurance all together.

ON this issue and the border and immigration. Many of the “pure” conservatives are pro-amnesty because they’re pro-Chamber of Commerce.

They come together on defense and taxes.

Being that this is above all a “conservative” forum founded on the libertarian conservative ideology and principles that makes this country great.....perhaps you need to find a new one that better reflects your belief in “pragmatism”.

I’m pretty concerned that they’re going to destroy Conservatism. Once you standup for doing nothing and help destroy your party and president in the process then no one is going to want to be associated with losers like that.

President Donald John Trump IS the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA. IF these “Cruz” fans are still banging
their drums for TED CRUZ; they should learn the lesson that
Cruz was given at the Republican Convention when he rambled
on & on REFUSING to acknowledge that he had LOST fair and
square - tooting his own horn in some vain effort to change
REALITY. (That’s when I said, “NO WAY I would EVER vote for
this guy EVEN IF he does manage to hang onto his Senate
office! He is NOT living in REALITY!”)

These “Never Trumpers” CRUZ fans are CRUZING for a
bruising, too, and need to either poop or get off the
pot.

The problem is not HFC, the problem is Ryan did not deliver a bill to repeal ACA.

True.

Ryan is the culprit and a Bastard.

You could see him smirking like a high school kid behind Trump when he gives speeches. He was even smirking alongside Trump with Mitch McConnell.

His objective is to destroy Trump and he is alienating Trump from the very people who support him most. The anti-Trumpers are NOT on the right of the party. They are on the left and that snake Ryan didn’t call for a vote as that would have made things OBVIOUS most Congressmen who opposed Repeal of Obamacare were RINOs. By not calling for a floor vote, he allowed himself to control the narrative, alienate Trump from his base, and keep Obamacare, which is what he, the RINOs, Boehner and the Democrat left wanted all along.

Sundance comes down the mountain again with the stone tablets. Who is this guy and why are so many blindly following him. This is getting to be cult worshiper territory.

From his campaign website this was his position on preexisting conditions:

***Work with states to establish high-risk pools to ensure access to coverage for individuals who have not maintained continuous coverage.

It does strike me as true that some are making the good (or the average) the enemy of the perfect.

If I get a conservative Scotus justice, the wall, controlled immigration, improved defense, jobs, and the defeat of ISIS, I’m going to consider it a victory.

I do not anticipate a win on healthcare, but I would RATHER have Trump trying to implement phases 2 and 3 of his bill than I would want ObamaCare to remain.

JMHO

Everything you wrote is wrong.

As opposed to the vast majority of the members of HFC, who supported Trump and are not nevertrumpers, Ken Buck never supported Trump’s election:

“Ken Buck – He criticized Trump during the presidential campaign after Trump called for a ban on Muslims, saying that Trump is a “fraud’ and that “Trump’s proposal (to ban all Muslims) violates the Constitution, the values of our nation, the Republican Party platform, and my conscience,” according to The Huffington Post.”

You think members of HFC are vulnerable to primary attack coming from their left? If so, you’re just completely uninformed. Or you think Trump is going to attack an HFC member from his right? You just really don’t know anything. Pure sycophant.

“I vociferously applaud the few patriots left in Congress”

Keep in mind that these “patriots” opposed the travel ban and fully funded the Syria refugee program under Obama.

Yeah? Well they’ve already shut down the democrats. That’s a good start.

And we see Trump and Co. has threatened and has shouted down the conservatives in the HFC. Easy Peasy.

Who’s left? Oh yeah. Ryan and the RINO’s. The GOP-e. The Stupid Party.

So Trump is putting all his chips on these guys? He is trusting them to get a new ObamaCare deal? And then reform our messed up tax code?

Yeah. Good Luck on that.
