Finally President Trump Calls Out #NeverTrump Members of Congress…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | Mar 30, 2017 | Sundance

Posted on 03/31/2017 7:13:18 AM PDT by xzins

After removing Katie Walsh from the White House staff, President Trump now moves to confront the #NeverTrump coalition in congress, Hillary’s Favorite Caucus, head on.

More than half of the remaining members of the House Freedom Caucus are still #NeverTrump, entrenched and intransigent Pro-Ted Cruz ideologues. They oppose Trump and have never moved beyond losing in the primary. They are still fighting the 2016 primary race they lost.

It appears President Trump has had enough of their ideological gridlock.

Because they didn’t vote to march veterans to the VA gulag.. yes by all means, get rid of those terrible human beings. Then Amnesty and stimulus will be unopposed. Trump IS the swamp leader.

Did you know that half of the freedom caucus have been #nevertrumpers?

I would not have guessed that.

This is a mistake.

The problem is not HFC, the problem is Ryan did not deliver a bill to repeal ACA.

Trump promised to repeal ACA, Ryan did not deliver. Rather than deliver a bill to repeal ACA Ryan promised another bill in a year or two. And he said “take it or leave it”.

Rat bastard Ryan is sabotaging Trump.

The issue is whether or not they are/were in the #nevertrump camp.

If so, there is some merit to the claim that they simply will say NO to everything that Trump proposes that isn’t 100% of what they want.

I don’t care. Trump’s supporters don’t like the bill.

Is this true? These boys and girls are bent on opposing Trump at every turn out of spite?

Or is it out of principle and the desire to return us to the land of the free; the home of the brave?

If Trump believes the HFC is the enemy and are the NeverTrumpers that must be destroyed - all the while putting his full faith in Ryan and the RINO’s to get healthcare and tax reform passed, then he will be in for one rude shock.

Does he really expect the GOP-e to suddenly change simply because he won the election?

But I get why Trump is getting in bed with the RINO’s. They have the most political clout on the Hill. So maybe he thinks he can wheel and deal with them.

Maybe. Maybe not.

I dont nessasaryly agree with this assessment. There are some FC members who are ready to vote yes, but are being held hostage by the Amashites and the leadership.

This is total BS. Trump’s statement was total BS. This Big Government Brother package sucked. It is just plain stupid to call people who opposed this socialist package “NeverTrumpers”, but if idiocy is the goal here, it has been achieved.
I vociferously applaud the few patriots left in Congress.

We need to remember every Repub on Capital Hill was a Never Trumper. NO ONE supported Trump. Not conservatives, not RINO’s.

Trump was the anti-establishment candidate. He was a threat to business as usual in DC.

Until he won the election. Now he’s the biggest swamp monster of all monsters.

Ryan is Speaker, controls the calendar and can deliver votes. OTOH, The kamikaze caucus is none of that. All hat and no cattle.

Trump has been a moderate to liberal on healthcare from the beginning of his campaign.

He always promised Repeal/Replace...

Bullets from his campaign website:

DONALD TRUMP’S VISION

To view Mr. Trump’s position, visit https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/healthcare-reform

Repeal and replace Obamacare with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).

Work with Congress to create a patient-centered health care system that promotes choice, quality, and affordability.

Work with states to establish high-risk pools to ensure access to coverage for individuals who have not maintained continuous coverage.

Allow people to purchase insurance across state lines, in all 50 states, creating a dynamic market.

Maximize flexibility for states via block grants so that local leaders can design innovative Medicaid programs that will better serve their low-income citizens.

Half of the Freedom Caucus is composed of Never Trumpers. Maybe, maybe not.

No it is not. Some supported other people on the primary but almost all endorsed trump. Some early on. Some later. These are the people that have knocked out boehner, McCarthy and defeated Cantor. They have prevented amnesty. They are our allies. Here they are trying to make it a real reform bill forcing regulation cuts to lower costs. That is not in this bill. This bill will raise insurance costs more and the GOP will lose all power when they are attcked for raising rates. It is political suicide.

What a joke.

His first piece of legislation is only furthering us along the path of Obamacare, the Freedom Caucus resists—and Trump decides with have to “fight” the few actual conservatives in Congress.

What is most galling is that the Never Trumpers are starting to look like they were correct all along.
