Civil Asset Forfeiture. Jeff Sessions is a big fan of this.

I really wish Jeff Sessions would become a big fan of investigating the previous administration with corruption and obstruction (particularly a certain Democratic candidate for president who somehow managed to become a multimillionaire performing "public service").

Why don't you take a peek at this, Jeff?

it only helps drug kingpins

I think you miss the point. This is exactly why it will continue. BTW, it's not only the drug kingpins that profit mightily from it. THe war on drugs funds corruption at every level of our government. Far too many people and organizations have their hands in the till for it to be stopped willingly.

And gives authoritarians in government an excuse to take our freedoms and property. The federal government required a constitutional amendment to outlaw alcohol. Why is it any different with other drugs?

Back then conservatism meant limited government - not big government pursuing different ends than liberals.

Thanks. I came to that conclusion when watching a documentary on Prohibition about 15 years ago.

You are not a pessimist.

You are a realist.
