Spiders are quite literally all around us. A recent entomological survey of North Carolina homes turned up spiders in 100 percent of them, including 68 percent of bathrooms and more than three-quarters of bedrooms. There's a good chance at least one spider is staring at you right now, sizing you up from a darkened corner of the room, eight eyes glistening in the shadows.

If you put every spider on a giant scale, they would supposedly wish 29,000,000 tons.... the weight of 450+ Titanics. Hungry spiders.

Humans could theoretically stomp every spider on the earth in five minutes.

Most arachnids are friendly to humans. Only a few are not.

The reason we have so many spiders is because we have so many bugs. Spiders eat bugs and they are also eaten by bigger bugs and other spiders.

The reason we have so many bugs is that humans produce a lot of bug food. Our skin sheds all the time. We have lots of food crumbs and we kill larger pests leaving a perfect opportunity for very small pests to do the job of cleaning up after us. And spiders clean up after them.

If you see a spider don’t kill it. You may consider killing what its eating. Carpet normally has a huge pile of organisms living out of the vacuums reach. Replace your carpets. Replace your old bedding. Keep your food in the kitchen. Use easily cleanable floors. And watch out for any moister, rotting wood, or holes to the outside or even the space between the walls.

Maybe. They would eat every human within a year, but then would come upon Michael Moore and it would take another year.

This is all the Post can come up with as they realize Trump is here to stay. They wish they could say Trump is ordering all spiders’ carnivorous activity. They tried, I’m sure

Well like all anti trump institutions and people, they’ll fade like this and Trump will be merciless in witnessing their demise

Because we've stomped out most of them on principle. Safety principle. Or aesthetic principle.

Spiders, I don't mind. Since the ones I see in our home are small, I generally let the go about their business. I'll sometimes just watch an (outdoors) spider build their web. It's fascinating.

Centipedes, on the other hand, have me reaching for the can of Raid. While they, like spiders, are also predators of smaller things, they practically give me chills when I spot one in the basement. I detest them.

Storage sheds in Central Florida are a good place to shine a flashlight. Make spiders' eight eyes glow BLUE!
