The "Free Market Conservatives" will show up on this thread at any moment and chastise us for not supporting "American Business" and "Free Market Principles."

They'll proclaim that businesses should be allowed to do literally anything in pursuit of profit, and anybody that disagrees is a Communist.

There is no right to privacy. So, I don’t really have a problem with this and see many potential benefits. First, if the collected information is made available to the public, it could kill off the Internet porn business. Also, it would encourage good behavior, the way we used to.

A Christian nation is meant to be led by its Godly male heads of families—each of whom lives under the scrutiny of his community. The community, in turn, has an obligation to hold men accountable for their actions, just as men are charged to hold accountable the members of the households they lead.

I would like to learn more about this before rushing to judgement.

The FTC rule Obama implemented just this last October seems to have restricted ISP's from doing this, while still giving free reign to the big guys like Google, Facebook, etc.

Perhaps the last minute Obama FTC rule was designed to unfairly help Obama's pals over at Google, etc.

Seems to me whatever rules are implemented should be done fairly on all involved... ISP's, search engines, etc.

Someone should create an app and browser that would charge whoever wants to use the information.

If I use the app or browser it should include a tag that would require anyone that wanted my information to have to pay me.

Make it free for me to install. They would get a share of any revenues generated.

I have no idea how much people get for “clicks” on their sites, but if they get anything for me clicking, I should get the same thing! Half of what they get sounds good. The app or browser get some of my share.

A lot of the corporations that are the most likely to buy and use browsing history data are run by liberals (Apple with its homosexual CEO, Microsoft with the Gates Foundation putting billions into AIDS, global warming and family planning, & the entire tech industry hiring H-1B visa foreign workers).
I don’t want to have no say in benefiting those corporations whose policies I don’t support.
I am selective in who I buy from.

You are talking apples and oranges.

You can avoid search engines, such as Google, by using any one of a number of alternatives. You can use browser addons to block sites that connect to various advertisers.

However, you are more limited in your choice of ISPs, i.e., the service you use to connect to the Internet. In many locations, there is just one ISP. Because all of your Internet traffic goes through your ISP, they have a complete log of every site you access and every email you send and receive.

One could easily makthea case that different rules should apply.
